hawaiiansun
I've been using this cookie sheet to make sample ornies to give away. My friend has a travel agency and she gives them to customers to try. It's been working I've gotten buisness from some. Bulk business too They look better in person lol and are various scents

topofmurrayhill
This is a 3X4 octogon mandarin plum and wicked with LX24I put it out after 5.5 hours to trim wickThat looks nice. Just wondering...I have no experience with Astorlite F, but wouldn't you normally want a 3 inch piller to melt out that far after more like 3 or 4 hours rather than 5.5? karenh
here it is lol I think it's a perfect burn, of course, I like shells around my pillars. Some people have the wax running all down the side of their candles (that I DON'T like), but that's just me.Pillar looks great!!!
sharyl55
Great burn on your astor F and you said it was a PITA to wick. Love your ornies. Never thought to use a heart pan to make them. How do you get the hole in them for the string?

Jcandleattic
That looks nice. Just wondering...I have no experience with Astorlite F, but wouldn't you normally want a 3 inch piller to melt out that far after more like 3 or 4 hours rather than 5.5?For the Astor waxes that is a perfect burn! After about a YEAR of testing those waxes off and on, I think I finally got it down also. The bad thing is every wax, the F, PQ, G, ~ ALL of them take a different wick size for a good burn!! lol Makes no sense, but as along as I look at my notes I'm good. lol
Mtngrl
I like the hex & oct shaped candles. You have a lovely pastel color.
sueg
I like the idea of putting them in the molds like this! Great idea -- probably MUCH faster than the regular way (although ornies don't take too long to 'cook').Also, great burn on the pillar!!! Kaybee23
Really like your ornie idea. Like the color on your palm as well. I know what a PITA they are to wick. Looks like a great burn to me.

michiganrocks
Hi I am new to the board and not really sure what ornies are? What are they made out of and what are they used for? Thanks
Lolas Lights
Love the ornies and the candle. I haven't tried any ornies yet. Gotta get some metal cookie cutters or pans , cuz I'm not one for baking since 2 of us are diabetics so gotta keep down the sweets.
hawaiiansun
they are made from aroma beads used as air freshnersinstructions:http://www.candlesupply.com/how2aromaornies.htmloh and be sure to trim them or they could be dangerous
michiganrocks
Awesome! I wondered if they were made from aromabeads...I use those currently but just put them in little sachet bags. I am going to try them:cheesy2: Thanks
Mozzie
Love your octagon pillar, and your ornies are great too (now that I know what they are - thanks, hawaiiansun).
Michi
I really like that heart pan, and I know that those are "sample" ornies, but they look kind of wierd to me in the second pic. they are all raggedy I thought they should be smooth on both sides-I've seen your other ones and I thought that they were. eugenia
That looks nice. Just wondering...I have no experience with Astorlite F, but wouldn't you normally want a 3 inch piller to melt out that far after more like 3 or 4 hours rather than 5.5?Palm wax is very brittle, can't be hugedd at all. If the wall gets too thin, the wax will break through and you will have a waterfall. Thus, the ideal rim size has to be adjusted to account for these factors.e
Terrie
I just got some of Val's ornies in the mail today. They look and smell great! And yep, they were all trimmed up. They didn't cut me, bite me, or poke my eyes out! LMAO! Thanks Val. :D
