  1. candlespastore where do you buy your flowerbomb oil from? SOS? thanks Oops, forgot to add that your product and display looks beautiful!
  2. wondering who has the best flowerbomb dup. out there. Here sweet cakes is good, but it is so expensive. Is SOS just as good? Or do you know of any other suppliers that have it? If anyone has a little they can spare so I can compare I would really appreciate it too. thanks
  3. If you buy 40 pounds it is $4.95 a pound. check it out http://www.lotioncrafter.com/store/LC995-Cyclomethicone-pr-16231.html
  4. It's starting to smell a little better, but OMG did it smell horrible. The oils were about 100 degrees so I don't think that was the problem. Crazy though, I'm glad I'm not the only one that has had problems with this scent!
  5. It smells great OOB and in candles. I just made candles with the same oil two days ago. I cut a very thin slice of it and it smells like cucumber melon, so hopefully once it is all sliced up I won't be able to smell the fishy smell anymore? What do you think
  6. I thought it was? How do you know for sure? On their website it says it is bath and body safe. Does that mean it may only be good for m&p and lotions? I don't know but now I have 6lbs of fish stinking up the entire main level of the house. Good thing I'm pouring Love Spell candles right now. It's helping to cover up the odor. Maybe I can market it to the guys that like to fish?
  7. Ok so I made a batch of cp cucumber melon from candles and supplies last night. Never used it in soap before but it's supposed to be fine to use. My kitchen stinks to high heaven right now like fish! I don't know what to do? Anyone else every experience this and if so does the true scent come back after it cures? thanks
  8. What about these? I was thinking about trying them out. http://www.essentialsbycatalina.com/shop/shopexd.asp?id=347
  9. oils were at about 100 degrees, lye water was 110 degrees. I did read though that someone on the board uses a heating pad to help force gel, so I did try that this time. Kept it on low for a couple of hours and then turned it off kept it wrapped in the blanket for 24 hours and then unmolded and cut. what a disappointment
  10. here's the recipe 18.24 oz water 6.67 oz lye 9.6 oz coconut oil 9.6 oz palm oil 28.8 oz olive oil 3 oz mac apple fragrance oil. made soap as usual, ran through soapcalc.codoesn't come out as lye heavy, however today when I unmolded it and cut it was oozing pockets of lye! Did the tongue test. Definitely zapped me. What do I do now? I've never had this happen before and have never tried to rebatch soap. All help would be appreciated. Thanks
  11. aileen, how much corn starch do you add to your soap? When do you add it? Thanks
  12. :smiley2: I'VE USED RRD40 SUCCESSFULLY IN THE PAST

  15. Can anyone recommend suppliers with the best fragrances for honeydew melon and lavender. Have a customer that requested honeydew melon. I've sold lavender before but I hate the smell and am not sure what it should smell like. Sometimes customers say it doesn't smell like lavender??? but I don't know what it should smell like. Please help. Thanks
