BrySC
I'm VERY new to candle making, but thought I'd post a pic of this one. I had lots of scraps left over, and made this. FAR from perfect, but my first "interesting" candle.
SheilaW
I would never have guessed that you were new to candle making. That is an awesome looking candle!
BrySC
Aw, thanks Sheila. I just started messing around with candle making last week. And I've made about 10 ugly candles, and this "interesting" one. It's the first one that even came CLOSE to the look I was going for. (even though the colors didn't come out exactly right)
dandelion garden
Your candle actually reminds me a piece of modern art that of course I can't put my finger on right now. Maybe I'll google later and see if I can find it....Anyhow, it's definitely interesting- thanks so much for sharing.
Janette
Keep up the good work. Some people just naturally have a flare for candles. Great to see something so orginal.Janette

Scented
Nice angles! Now if those stripes were golden yellow, it could almost be a McDonald's candle. Sorry! Just what came to mind.
Donita
Hey Scented......are you hungry? Mtngrl
I'm VERY new to candle making, but thought I'd post a pic of this one. I had lots of scraps left over, and made this. FAR from perfect, but my first "interesting" candle. I'll say! What/how did you do that & how long did it take? I can't even begin to guess what you did ... looks like several techniques rolled into one!Nice angles! Now if those stripes were golden yellow, it could almost be a McDonald's candle. Sorry! Just what came to mind. You're so funny! lol.

BrySC
Thanks so much for the nice posts. That makes me want to make some really nice candles just to show everyone.mtngrl...I used a process called "draped layers". I got the instructions from this site, but kinda did my own thing with it.
