WooHoo Finally get to talk about what I've tried thus far :D

Shutterbug's Mango Shea Butter ~ What a cute little container.. I have been using this on my cuticles, and on my lips. It is making both feel just heavenly. I really like it.. And, unless I am just completely overlooking it (Don't think I am), I didn't have a recipe on it..Would ya' share please huh? lol

KJBrook's Bergamot Shea Butter ~ Been using this every night on my hands... My hands stay sooo dry from any number of things.. And I must say that it is helping.. I know a little of this goes a long way, but this goes a REALLY long way... I think it may have been just a tad, not much, heavy on the oils.. It did not stand up well to the heat and humidity here and was icky (not really icky.....just..not fluffy) by the time I got it... I do still love it, and I am so glad you sent this because I have been curious as to what Bergamot smelled like... I am pleased with it.

LuverPup36's Rebatched Blue Skies ~ Beautiful! I'd have NEVER guessed this was rebatched by looking at it. It smells wonderful too.. Where'd ya get that FO? Anyway, I can tell you put the witch hazel in the rebatch cause it was extremely drying on the hands..Which is by the way where I've been using it, just at the sink to wash my hands off with... It is good for removing grease from your hands I'd recommend less witch hazel next rebatch..or something, I am still a newbie of course..lol

Miss Mellis's Pineapple Punch Soap ~ How absolutely beautiful AND it smelled heavenly.. I have tended to shun away from food / bakery smells in my B&B, I just don't wanna walk around smellin' like a cup cake..heheh But THIS... I HAD to try it! It smelled sooooo good. Nice and fresh and summery. I used it in the shower, no need for the luffa or even the bathing gloves, got a great lather, and it wasn't drying on the skin..I got a really nice lather and it left me feeling squeaky clean.. A++

KSBell's Foaming Sugar Scrub ~ I detected a hint of chocolate, and definitely mint. Mostly detected the mint upon use..Which by the way, I decided to use on my face...I've been using this every other day since I got my box in on my face...I love the way my face feels after using it..Not getting a whole lot of foaming action...I've never using the foaming stuff..So, not sure how much exactly it is supposed to foam..I do like it though.

And darnit I have used someone else's can't find the packaging to at this second..Will add it when I get to it...

P.S ~ I used about 6 smilies that I had to go back and delete cause I got this message :

I have a couple of reviews.

Moochelle Tea Tree Soap. I've been really interested in Tea Tree lately but hadn't tried it yet. I used this on my face twice a day for 3 days. No break out and the dry patches on my face aren't dry right now. The soap has a lemony or citrusy scent but my Tea Tree EO doesn't smell like that. I like the lemony scent.

Glowlite Lizzy's Luxury Bar. I've been using this in the shower. It isn't a bit drying, just a little hard to rinse off with our soft water.

LoverPup35 Rebatched Blue Skies. I've been using this at the sink and didn't find it drying for my hands. I'll take it to the shower tomorrow and try it there.

That's all I've got for now.

First, let me say that you ladies rock!!! When I got my box on last week, my kids were literally hijacking your products! lol Everything smells wonderful. So far, I tried:

Miss Melis - Pineapple Punch Was this made at the bubble factory? lol This thing blew up my shower and my bedroom. Lathered very nice with/without cloth; didn't have to work for it; rinsed off pretty good and the scent lingered well after my bath.

Brenda - Blue Skies The bottom of it had a butter cream-satin appearance (Very nice!) I had no problems with lather with/without a cloth; I wasn't crazy about the scent but it still works;rinsed well;left my face a little dry but that's alright; your swirl was good to me. I haven't tried the rebatch yet.

Moochelle Goatsmilk Ok, to be honest, I was hoping to get this one. Yippie! Moo, I wasn't disappointed. Between my mother, husband and sister, and me, we all wanted to know, what is that scent!? lol I didn't print or copy your post about your soaps, so I don't know. Very nice texture; I like the two tone color; very firm; had no problems w/lather with/without cloth, it was very creamy; rinsed off well.

Meca - Lorrie's Soap Hey, Meca, I didn't get a copy of your soap, would you please pm or list it? Thanks. The texture was good; very firm and the color swirl worked for me. Lathered/bubbled well (it took me a second to get it going but once it started, it didn't want to stop, lol. Rinsed off well; again, we were trying to figure out the scent-it lingered well after washing.

Glowlite - Lizzy's Luxury Bar This has got to be the most silky, creamy bar of soap I've ever had. This is wonderful! I also didn't get your recipe, would you pm or list it please? Didn't have to work for the lather put it on my face w/o cloth and it just foamed and glided beautifully. Rinsed off well and skin soft afterward. I kept smelling for a scent and then I realized, hey its unscented. Am I trained to sniff or what? lol

Kjbrook - Bergamot Shea Butter Ok, you've sold me! This is some good stuff girlie. My family agreed, we all wanted to eat this. It reminded us of different things. For me a lemond poundcake, hubby (fruit loops-go figure) lol. When I got it, it was a little runny but it firmed up overnight, so no worries there. I've been using this from my face to my big toe! Very nice creamy texture; gave a nice body polish and the scent is excellent.

Shutterbugg -- Mango Shea Butter This is fabo too! Cute container. The texture is more in line with what I like. Since my skin is so dry, I like having a little heavy butter on my skin, so this works for me. Is it unscented? I'm asking because I can smell a little of the unrefined shea.

Ok, that's it for now. Mom and sister are lining up to take the rest. I have to fight them off with a bat for now!

Yay!! Someone likes my soap. I will have to look up the recipe. I know I forgot to put it in the box. I was so excited to get them out I forgot to put I think it was your soap review sheets in there. But I guess that goes to show you I would loose my head if it was attached. And the scent. It was Tommy for men .Yeah, I know that it is a guys scent but I love it. But I am glad that you liked it.. I made another batch of that same recipe this weekend and this one is more of a solid color.

So would you say that recipe is a keeper?? And by the way I made that soap memorial day weekend. It hardened up nicely too.

Thanks, Lorri!

BTW - which one was yours? There were some not labeled...there was probably a thread about what's what but like I said...I was on vacation :D For instance - I didn't know until today that there was a foaming scrub...which now explains what's in the white jar at home :D that I've been waiting to try!

Everyone did a wonderful job!

:D

Moochelle Goatsmilk what is that scent!? lol

You gotta be kiddin? I couldn't smell it at all..lmao Anyway, it was a combo Mango Papaya & Spring Rain (75/25) Color didn't really match the scent, and I couldn't even smell the scent..So I just left the name as Goatsmilk..Which is what it was made from ~ hence those atrocious colors... :(

KSBell's Milk 'n Honey ~ I took to work with me to use (shhhh don't tell) and I love the lather, great feel on the skin... Good job!!

I received my box also- it was like Christmas in July!!

My kids have been secretly using the sugar scrub in the shower the last couple of days. I went to use it and noticed water in it and had figured out what they had been doing. :P

I love, love, love the cranberry yuzu soap. It smells so good and I have been using in the shower the past week. I have all of the soaps in an enamel bowl in my bathroom. It is so fun looking at them and smelling them.... It will take awhile to try all of them.

You guys are awesome!! :P

Yeah! You liked my cranberry yuzu!!! Are you the one that did the shaving soap? Whoever did...I love it and am wondering if I can beg for the recipe?!? I mean...I love it.

I just used the Pink Sugar soap and really like it! How did you not get it to turn dark brown (as I've seen so many Pink Sugars do...)?

I also just used the chammoile - again - I really enjoyed using it!

All the soaps are having great lather and I just love sitting in my bath tub looking at them. I probably average 2 baths a day since becoming addicted to soap and B&B products :o

Yes, I LOVE IT. I am assuming that you mixed cranberry and yuzu FO? Your color is perfect too. I also really liked your "born on" date and use date. Very clever!

I did make the shaving soap. I wanted to make something for the men and women. Men really love it as much as we do... they just hide it better. :D

I will PM you with the recipe. I would love your recipe also....

Thanks.

Thank you thank you thank you (where's the bowing down smilie???)

I mixed 50/50 Cranberry Fig from Brambleberry and Yuzu from Scent Works. The colors are from Ellen's Essentials (Peacock dyes...I really like them and you don't need to use much!). That was a swirl attempt...believe it or not...I obviously need lots more practice doing swirls :D

I'll dig out the recipe and pm you...

confused-dontknow4.gif

I tried to use my clays for the first time and I used pink and purple and it doesn't show very well either one. I don't even know why or how it turned out the way it did but glad you liked it. :)

Sawyer, yours was the first I tried and I have to say that I'm in love with your scent, it is yumalicious. I loved how it lathered on contact with the water. Great job. I would also be interested in your recipe as well.

I can't wait to test more soaps. :D

Hi all! I got my box last Thursday while CT was down, and woo hoo, it made a great ending to an utterly miserable last day of work!

Macy's Boutique-Halo Milk Bath

I liked the way it left my skin feeling silky, and the Halo scent was nice,

not overpowering like some can be.

KJBROOK-Bergamot Shea Butter

Your Shea Butter is great! I have been using it before bedtime each night

on my hands and feet. Needless to say they are nice and soft!

Heaven Cynt-Ginger Peach Soap

I love the color and smell of this! very light , very yummy.

I used it on my face, not drying @ all, nice lather.

Shutterbugg's Mango Shea Butter

I have to fess up, DH confiscated this for himself. He get's really dry skin around his eyebrows, and has been using it there. It is working great for him.

Shutterbugg's Angels Trumpet! I like the colors. Nice firm bar. Great lather with or with out a cloth or pouf! Nice light fragrance.

Glowlite-Lizzy's Luxury Bar

I am in love. great lather! Great feeling skin.

Texas Brat-Pink Sugar

Nice color, awsome fragrance. Lathers very nice w/or w/out washcloth or pouf. My daughter used it ( she's 15) she fell in love with it.

Krystal Kreations-Chamo/Lavendar

Luved your packaging! Nice firm bar. Really great lather, Nice on the skin.

The color was nice to. I like the fragrance combo.

Miss Melis-Pineapple Punch

I really like the colors and how it went with your fragrance. It reminds

me of the frozen sherbet punch my mom made when we were kids.

Good lather w/ or w/out a washcloth or body pouf.

Ok I am going to start posting some of my results.

Macy Boutique. I loved your milk bath. I took the longest bath than I ever have in two years! The scent was very pleasant and relaxing. It didn't over power you.

Shutterbugg. I love your swirl in your soap. Soap felt wonderful on the skin. I am trying to figure out what the scent reminds me of. I can't place what it is but maybe when you can get on here you will chime in. Your shea mango. I love it.

Mountian Madness- Definitly love the scent but I was a little disappoint with the lather factor. I think that just has to do with my water. But I did get a nice shave. Also I had to hind your soap because my husband loved the scent and the little moose that you had on it. Whatever made you think of doing something like that. Is it your logo?

Lynda- Now I have to say your soap packaging.. It must have taken you sometime to wrap all those soaps and put the bags on them. Very nice job on that! Now I have to say I think that your bar of soap was the hardest one. When did you make them? I loved the scent and the swirl was a nice touch. My daughter even loved your soap!

Carrie kjbrook-- Your shea butter. I really liked it. I think you have a great scent and a wonderful recipe there. I wouldn't change a think. If you ever want someone to test of batch of soap in this scent.. Look me up ;)

Moochelle-- Dang girl! Your labels rock!! I liked the tea tree and peppermint. I used yours on the hotest days and it was sooo refreshing. I had great lather too!

more to come...

Also for the others that were in this swap. Please start posting your results.

I have only had time to test out a few but here's what I think.....

kjbrook - Bergamont Shea Butter

I love the smell of this stuff. It was a little melted when it arrived but

it firmed back up overnight. Feels really good on the skin too. I am

really liking it.

ksbell's foaming sugar scrub

Can't quite decide what the fragrance is but it's really nice. Leaves my

face feeling refreshed. Silky smooth.

glowlite - Lizzy's Luxury Bar

Devine! I really love this soap recipe. Very smooth and creamy.

Lathers nice and rinses off easy. I will be adding this one to my to

make list. Great job.

shutterbug - Angel's trumpet ?? I've misplaced the package so I hope it's right

The scent of this soap is well, heavenly. I don't know what it

is but I love it. The bar is a really nice hard bar of soap. It

lathers well and feels nice on my skin. I don't think I have the

recipe for yours. I would love to try it out myself if you are

willing to share. ;)

mountain madness - Buttered Rum shave soap

My hubby sort of took this one over. He really liked the

scent. I washed my hands with it and it does feel

good. I will have to get this back and try it out later.

That's it for now. I'm going to take a few with me on vacation and test them out. Halo milk bath is going in my suitcase for sure. Will post more when I get back. :)

Ok. A few more...

Macy Boutique - Milk Bath This Halo scent is awesome. Very aromatic not overwhelming at all. I think it tried to bubble but soon disappeared. Skin was so soft afterward. What other ingre. (if any) did you include?

Shutterbug -- Angel's Trumpet When I first looked at this, it reminded me of a snow cone or the blast popcicle (red, white & blue). LOL It was very hard, scent was good... puts me in the mind of rice flower & shea. Lather was good, rinsed well and the scent hung around for awhile. Very nice. Also liked your soap tag.

Krystal Kreations - Chamomile/Lavender The wrapping on this soap is very classy (A+) I'm not a fan of chamomile but the scent is growing on me. I really like swirls on this one. Very hard/firm, lather is great and rinsed off well. Also has a good scent linger.

Sawyer's Moon - Cranberry Yuzu The packaging is so cute. The brown paper bag was also a nice touch. The scent is awesome! Good mixture. I kept smelling and using this for an entire day. Good lather, rinsed well and good scent linger.

Well. that's all I have for now. More to come....
