Launch date on the website it 12/16/13. I am waiting to see what they are going to be carrying so I can decide which ones to restock and what I need to replace.

El will be sending out a letter letting everyone know who the new supplier is for their products. It is American Soy Organics I have the actual copy that was sent to me in a email. I know that they will be carrying some of their fragrances, the millennium wax, and container wax. Votive was is being discontinued. The new suppliers website is not up and running yet. I am a distributor of them. I can tell you that some of the top ones which sold out right away were. Hot Apple strudel, pumpkin pie, pumpkin thyme, harvest, mistletoe, holiday memories and lavender. those were right off the top of my head. So I would assume that those will be in the line up. Now, that is just an guess. I know I am working on carrying white cake, love spell, oatmeal milk and honey, lemon cheese cake, and a few others. They won't be el oils because I am sourcing them else where. I am testing out all the oils that I plan on carrying to make sure that they work in soy. It is a very slow process right now because I am really not liking the waiting game. If I hear of anything I try an send out an email even it is no news via my newsletter.

The new supplier will only be carrying the top fragrances. I believe it is something like the top 100 or so. I am waiting for them to release information so I know which ones to I can restock.

Sounds like this will be happening right around the week of the 9th of December. Which is good. I am expecting to see a slight price increase on the waxes since it will be manufactured in one facility and shipped to the warehouse. I have gotten an update on what the pricing might be. I am hoping to see it stay close to what it all ready is. (hopefully) I pulled all el oils off my website because I was having issues with trying to get oils when I need them.

Yes, they will be closing. It is sad to see them go! I will truly miss working with Bruce and Jennifer. From what I understand they sent out a letter to everyone in their database. I personally have not seen the letter but I did place a call to confirm this. As for the distributors, once Enchanted lites closes I will no longer be carrying their waxes once my stock is gone.. I am assuming that the same will be true of their other distributors. I have sold and used their products for almost 10 years but I will be working to find a suitable replacement for my customers. I will be working on this in the up coming months.

I carry a nice blackberry- It's not bitter at all.

$5.95 for a 4 oz bar of soap. I don't know how some people do it but you see it all the time. I would worry about what other people are selling their stuff for. I only worry about my own stuff.

Wool has antimicrobial properties from what I understand. I have a bar of felted soap in the shower that I use from time to time. It doesn't get dirty but I don't care for the way it feels on my skin so I use it on my feet.

Cover it will plastic wrap and throw in on the porch. It'll be fine.

Jen set your molds outside. As cold as it is in Michigan that should keep them from gelling. I set my molds on our porch all the time when I am soaping and I don't want them to gel. Then once I fill them I put them back on the porch for a few hours.

candybee don't worry about it gelling. It may take it sometime. I have some batches that seem to take forever and a day to gel, some just don't even gel, and some are in full gel within a few minutes. It not a must- Kitn- was your batch an fo or eo batch? I have noticed a few of my fo batches latey are accelerating and gelling faster.

Did you cover the soap with a towel or anything? Lately I have been leaving the lid off of my molds because the soap is heating. I also don't put my soap on a heating pad. It is also ok to take a peek once in a while;) And your recipe looks ok to me and your soap will be fine.

how much lye did you use and how much water did you mix the lye in? If your soap is over heating it will start to expand and crack. Kind of like bread. I keep my soap wrapped until the next day.
