Candle Man Posted February 16, 2006 Share Posted February 16, 2006 On some colors I melt the chips in the pouring pot first. Yellow, Red, Purple, Green tend to have dye color that will not melt real easy. After I melt my wax I keep it at 180*F - 200*F for about 10 minutes. Stir then let the color settle then sitir again then settle over and over. This way the color specks will disolve. I want to call it pigment color but these colors are not. Pigmented colors will not disolve in wax, only suppend or settle to the bottom, and will clog the wick. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
