KMommy 10
I have some flavor oils that I find are a bit bitter and would like to make them sweeter. I have seen special sweetners for lip balm flavor oils sold. Is it necessary to purchase something specifically for lip balms are is there maybe a mroe common product that might be available locally that could be used?

workingwithsoy 10
I use Stevia, I also use it as a sweetner so it's already in the pantry! It comes as a liquid and is easy to use!
AngelaVA 11
MMS has Sugar Kisses which is a sweetener. I haven't tried it, but I think it's been talked about on here before, if you want to try a search.
blondiee 10
I was just on a site that claims to have a "sweetened" Fractionated Coconut Oil and that it works great as a sweetner for lip balms...anyone know anything about that?http://www.mabelwhite.com/SupplyCo/SweetOil.html
mystical_angel1219 14
MMS Sugar Kisses does the trick. The Stevia powder is nice, but make sure you use VERY small amounts as this stuff is very powerful.

Fern-Marie 10
Uh-oh, I am glad that I didn't put an order in with Mabel White. As regards the sweetener, wish I could remember where I read it, but I read that ppl use a little Sweet-n-Low....? You know I haven't tried it, but just something I retained in the recesses of my already crowded mind.
KMommy 10
I think Sweet n Low contains saccharin. I know some people would rather avoid saccharin even if the amount would be very small. Lip balm wouldn't have that much in it.
