  1. So very pretty! Those are the colors that I want to use in my kitchen. If you ever teach a soap making class I would like t be the first to sign up!
  2. Wow! That's a lot of work. Very beautiful!
  3. Your work is beautiful. What a special friend you are! I had to gasp when I read the prayer. My Grandmother taught me that prayer when I was very young. I haven't heard it in many years. Brings back happy memories.
  4. Fabulous! I have never been able to get a nice dark black in my cp.
  5. I always love to see your work! You are so creative:smiley2:
  6. You do such an amazing job! They are too pretty to burn:smiley2:
  7. I am not pleased with them in soy and parasoys. I have tried many of them and it is a big hit or miss. Once I have to add more then 8% FO to any wax to get a light throw it isn't an oil I keep. I find them to be very weak. Many out of the bottle seem very watered down. I've purchased two sample packs and I had maybe one out of each pack that gave me a really good throw.
  8. Well, I tried the CSN wicks and didn't get results that I was pleased with so I tried other wicks. Maybe I just haven't tested the right size yet but the CD and CDN wick always give me an uneven melt pool. I think it is because the wick bends to help prevent mushrooming. Stella has good luck with them, I'll have to try a few sizes smaller than usual and see if that helps.
  9. I tested double wicking with 2 CSN 7 wicks in a larger tumbler. The flame was not as high but I got a full melt pool in less than 1 hour(more like 30 min) and my container was extremely hot. Mine wasn't a rectangle container, don't know if that makes any difference or not.
  10. So it's not just me that has this problem! The height of this flame doesn't sit well with me at all. IMO it's not safe! I poured some of the palm pillar wax I have into a container just out of curiosity. The flame wasn't as tall but it also didn't adhear to the sides of the glass. After a week or so I could just slide it right out of the container. Good luck Stella, if anyone can get this wax to burn correctly I bet it will be you!
  11. I have had results like this with every FO I have tested. I have also had wicks that drowned or just tunnel when I test smaller sizes. I haven't tried the CSN 11 or 12.
  12. I tested the CSN 14 and got the same results. I am just very concerned that these tall flames are not safe. The photo was taken after the wick was trimmed down to a nub. I can only imagine how tall it would have been without trimming.
  13. I have been testing Glass Glow for several months and I've had some major issues with it. I am aware that every wax burns differently and this one is a bit of a challenge. I have tested LX, Eco, CDN, RRD and the wicks suggested by CS for this wax. All wicks burn further down before burning out so the flame grows taller quickly. Air pockets aren't suppose to be a problem with the wax but just to be sure I have tried keeping the area around the wick open while it sets up and then doing a repour. I cool the containers very slowly in the oven. I have tried just letting the wax cool on it's own without doing repours. When testing a larger container I tried double wicking. In other words, you name it I've tried it! The photo below is of a glass glow candle in a 2.5 diameter container using a RRD 37 wick. The candle burned for 35 min. when I noticed that the flame seemed too tall. I trimmed the wick and this is what it looked like 15 min after trimming. This has occured with the other wicks I have tested. Either the wick is too small and tunnels or it seems to be too large. I do test several burns and burn for at least 3 hours, most of the time 4 1/2. I don't like the height of the flames! It's difficult to get people to trim wicks at all let alone to require constant trimming to keep the flame from turning into a torch. I have tested, and tested and tested....This seems to be the problem I keep running into. So I would like to know if this is just normal for this wax?
  14. There was someone selling dog cookies made from a recipe they located on the internet. Some of them contained rasins:shocked2: . Thank goodness someone told her about the possible harm before a pet was hurt. Several years ago I had a doggie treat/meal cook book and I remember there were several recipes that contained a lot of garlic. I later read that could also be a problem. Maybe you could consult with a vet. that would be willing to help you.
  15. I think it looks very nice, you did a wonderful job. I once asked someone that does the floral arrangements at the hobby store what is the right way to arrange some flowers I was holding. She said there is no right or wrong way unless your doing this professionally. It's a matter of being creative and pleasing yourself. I think what you did is lovely!!!
  16. I posted in the past that I had problems wicking a 3.5 and 3.75 wide container using Glass Glow wax. In order to create a full melt pool I had to either double wick or use a very large size wick. The double wicking made my container too hot(IMO) and single wicks in very large sizes created a very tall flame that I didn't like either. I have been testing using a 2.5 container and the results are much better. Using an Eco 12 I got the following burn. Using a 14 may get the sides and I will test that later. I still find that the wicks burn wider in this wax. It burns further down before burning out so the flame can get tall very quickly. I am more comfortable with this size container results then the 3.75 one previously tested.
  17. Problem solved! I was able to reach the supplier and they couldn't have been more helpful!
  18. 2 weeks and selling? Wow! I just answered a question form for my insurance and one of the questions was how long I tested my product. You may want to take that into consideration if you are planning to get product liabilty insurance. There is a lot of information here using the search feature. I am sure you will find many useful topics that will cover just about everything you can think of including 6006. Good luck to you!
  19. That's the email address I used. When I wrote with a product question I received a reply but no one answers the emails with the product problem. Thanks for the information.
