bugtussle
Has this been asked? What are the Yankxxx easy melt cups made of? Anyone know where to buy unfilled?
pcbrook
I am wondering the same thing. I did a show this weekend and a lady who uses those asked if I would consider making those. I told her she could probably dump the melted wax out of their cup and pop my wax right in their empty cup after she cleans the old wax out good. I have seem those in their stores and wonder if those are the maxi tealight cups that a few of the suppliers offer.
bugtussle
Maybe they are the maxi-tealights, but they have to be super high-melt plastic. Ha, I tried the little condiment cups, but they melted. I have done an extensive search but??
bugtussle
Who in the states sells the maxi-cups?
kandlekrazy
Are those the cups that work with their scenterpiece warmers? I don't think I've seen those before, the tea light are not as big so wouldn't work with those warmers.

heartsong
I was just noodling around the Net and stumbled onto these Maxi-lites thru Amazon...are these the ones? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Polycarbonate-Maxi-Lite-Tealight-Cups/dp/B00MB6XCHY
pcbrook
Those look pretty dang close. I would have to go to a store with a ruler to measure them! What do you think they would say about that!?
pcbrook
That is the same size as what Aztec has.
kandlekrazy
I don't think the maxi tealights are big enough, but I could be wrong. I'm going by my memory of seeing the system in a store. I was oh so tempted to buy one to try it. Might not be a bad idea to buy 1 of the melts so you can compare size.

But I will have to wait until I get to my nearest store which is 50 miles away! I went online but shipping for one was $5.99. I am not too thrilled about paying $10.98 just to see how big these things are!
justajesuschick
Most online buyers do as you suggest. They reuse the cups and just pop in vendor wax after the wax that came in is spent. I am certain that you have already watched videos but I thought this one was well done. She might even measure for you if you ask in video comments although the video is 2 years old: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyvqGrKIQ7Y
bugtussle
I found a mfg in the US http://www.auralites.com/maxi-lite-cups These may be the ones AZTEC sells. I think Yankxxx's are a bit larger. I'll go to Kohl's and measure.

kandlekrazy
I'm pretty sure they covered their basis with a proprietary system, but who knows since they have been out a while now there may be knock-off cups available. I personally don't get the "never touch wax again" concept, but then I LOVE wax!
pcbrook
Yeah, I don't get it either but if you get more people buying into it and they want a less expensive way to get replacements I might just give it try.

TallTayl
The Yankee ones, do they have a flat bottom? The maxi tea life's I have are raised. That raised area is good to protect surfaces when burning, but might be problematic in a warmer. I had the same first thought as most to just use the maxis! I don't have one of those special warmers so I can't say if they will work or not. reminds me, I need to get back to testing with the maxis! I bought 300 myself.
bugtussle
Kohl's is in the next city and I haven't been yet, but I did find a Yankxxx pic which showed 2.3 ozs. I am pretty sure they are the same but just have an added lid. I ordered some cups from Aztec yesterday. Like you, I don't want to spend $10. to get a Yankxxx quick melt cup from Amazon shipped. We'll soon know!
bugtussle
AHHH, just got this off Kohl's site. PRODUCT FEATURES: Reusable, melt-resistant cup stacks for easy storage. Fruity scent freshens up your home. PRODUCT DETAILS: 2.2-oz. Melts up to 24 hours Paraffin wax Plastic
bugtussle
the Yankxx warmers must not get real hot so they don't melt the plastic. As soon as I get the cup, I'll fill it and put them on one of my warmers. Edited September 15, 2016 by bugtussle
pcbrook
I did some searching. Aztec does not state how many ounces they hold but there is an Australian site that says they hold " 60mls or 52.6 grams wax" converted to ounces that is about 2 ounces. TallTayl
I think remember pouring about 1.6 oz of soy in my maxis
