  1. As does Candle Cocoon..And the 12" wicks are like getting 2 for the price of one..just have to have a small stash of wick tabs to make your own.
  2. Even if your candles appear perfect after pouring..they can still frost with a temperature change or even certain FO's will do it more than others too after a day or two. Ecosoya CB xel is supposed to be frost resistant and claims to combat all the typical issues of soys.. I don't know...never tried..it.. LOL..
  3. Mental note to me..Stay away from 4627...LOL... I've been using EL Container for years..tried other soys and some were just to finicky..I've never had any case of wax from EL be different in performance from the last in all these years..
  4. Those are so cool..I've just been reading some books by Gillian Summers The Faire Folk Trilogy..just finished book 2..Have you read them? They are very fitting of your candles! Gillian Summers Trilogy's
  5. Pumpkin Coffee from Candle Cocoon..smells like maple bars to me and my guys..though... Cranberry Compote and Spiced Apple Pie from CC Cinnamon Vanilla and Christmas Past from Elements
  6. LOL...good joke HorsescentS.. I'm glad you got it figured out.. I tend to "under" wick by some's standards..but I don't want a hot jar..and most of my candles do not clean the sides until that last third..but by the time the wick tab is hit (wick is spent)..the only wax left is level with the tab bottom..the sides are clean.. So you can grab the "burning" candle and blow it out if you need to. It's not to hot. Interesting to note that in your wax it was necessary to let it harden REALLY good before burning.
  7. I do the same thing..pour into votive cups or...4 ounce quilted jelly jars..
  8. just google Air Freshener Blanks...and you'll find a few different suppliers with different cut outs..I have made some in the past...and they don't really last to long..
  9. Candle Cocoon has Chocolate Suede
  10. Slab wick testing.. This may help...according to candle science they recommend Eco's for this wax. I can't even fathom a guess...since I've never poured a paraffin wax. But your issues on the new repour..do not sound like it's that process that caused the problem.
  11. I do like NaturallyTru...I use the little 4oz quilted jelly jars or a votive cup to get idea of my wax the new oil and throw. I do not choose oils that need a cure time. So if they don't burn the next day with a decent throw..I don't pursue it further.
  12. The Pepper and Port is a winner. BUT...I'm not sure what it should smell like..LOL But to me it reminds me of a "Russian Tea" my mom used to make for holiday parties..It had Tang and lipton tea powder. I think it was also called Wassail back in the day. It's very clovey to me..Which clove is pepper like, sharp, spicy but sweet. I poured it in EL container at 4.5%. It's in a Specialty Bottle straight sided 6oz jar with a CD 10 wick. Within minutes it was pumping out the scent across the room.
  13. In your case..I'd be searching out a wholesaler that does fund raising candles. You are not going to make any money off you and your group making candles..with zero experience. And the risk..well..it's way to high. And quite frankly, to do candles for a fund raiser..if you are not buying in serious bulk (to reduce your per ounce cost)..and then donating your time..The amount you can "charge" over the costs of raw materials to make the candle is quite limiting. There are way more fund raiser opportunities with less buy in and more profit to the organization.
  14. I have Pepper and Port burning behind me..I poured it yesterday as a tester.. I love it..
  15. I haven't tried it..I use Lavender Lullaby from Candle Cocoon.
  16. WOWSERS! That's some wax art! I'd like to see what it looks like after it's burned a bit.
  17. I will sometimes drop my fragrance oil load a half to full percent. In the long run on a 3-4 hour burn...no difference is noted in throw..but it allows me to keep a wick down.
  18. You don't say for what application..But I love Enchanted Lites OMH.. LOVE it...
