  1. Ive not made them in a while, but here is the link to the thread about crumbles I posted a while back. I'm hoping to get some made tomorrow, if I do I'll post pics. Now fingers crossed that Walmart has the jars!! We're headed out the door in just a few. I sure do wish we had an ace or Tru Value. Forgot the link....:rolleyes2 http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?106075-My-Crumbles&highlight=crumbles
  2. I haven't got the jars yet but just ordered the scoops!! These are tiny, but I'm thinking that one scoop should be about 1/2 an ounce, the same as one cube of a clamshell. I'm so excited for these!!!
  3. I'm not sure Jeannie, I used to make them all the time with M38 and the tart blend from tristate. I just got my first slab of 4625 and 4630, give me a day or so and I'll let you know!! ETA.... I found these little metal scoops on ebay, not a bad price either. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=380177598294&siteId=0&isClassified=false
  4. For some reason I opened this thread. I switched from the mainstays pint jar to the status jar for my candles and NO ONE likes them, and I just decided to switch back. I have got to find these jars! Not sure who came up with the idea of crumbles but I LOVE IT!!!! I think because I already have a pretty steady crumble fan base I could really work this!! For those of you asking how to make crumbles, it works best with a good hard paraffin wax, all the soy I've tried are too soft and the get the container all mucky. I pour my wax into a nice thick jelly roll pan that I have, wait for it to set up a little and then use a spatuala and chop it much the same way you do when you are Browning hamburger. I never made it yesterday to look for jars. I'm off to wake up my children and going to find these jars!! Wonder where I could find the little scoops?!?!
  5. I bought a goats milk base and scented it with Suede from Moonworks for my hubby. Smells delicious!! Ive got another 2 pounds of base and just received my first milky way soap mold. Not sure what scent to use this time. I'm thinking maybe something girly! Keep us posted on the CW base. Ive been dying to order from there!!
  6. Thank you so much Dave! Your the best!!

  7. I actually ordered before the sale, booo lol I had to get some wax and figured I'd try some FO's. This was my first order with Peak, but I know it won't be my last!
  8. Wild Mountain Honey is amazing! So is Lemon Pound Cake, Fruit slices, and Mango Peach Salsa, I think those 4 are my favorites oob. Can't wait to get these in wax!!
  9. Moonshine, I just smelled it oob, but I get that too. I loved it though. Cant wait to get it in wax. Now I'm off to the kitchen. After seeing this post, I've got a box of Trix screaming my name!!
  10. I should have dropped the hammer on those bags when I found them, $0.16 each with shipping is way cheaper than anyone else, and now they are sold!
  11. I'm looking for some bags, I'm not picky on what they look like as long as they are sturdy enough to hold a candle. If I go with kraft bags I'm going to make some labels to go on them. I found these on ebay, can I find them any cheaper than this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-WHITE-KRAFT-5x3x8-PAPER-SHOPPING-BAGS-W-HANDLES-/300884748951?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item460e20ea97
  12. Congrats! What a great feeling that must be!
  13. I ended up ditching all 4 blends. Went on to TCS wax, and now I'm getting ready to start blending 4625 and 4630.
  14. Its D day, waiting on the ups man to get here now, cant wait to smell everything!!!!!!
  15. Welcome Pandora! You could ty heating the jars to reduce wet spots. I personally don't care about them, and I've never really had anyone say anything, but I've never gotten huge wet spots either.
  16. Idk about the lids, but if you have a Dollar Tree close you can have the jars shipped to the store for free.
  17. Ok, I'm going to walmart to pick the shelves. Y'all keep your fingers crossed that I find some!!
  18. Trying this stuff out, I'm wondering what % FO everyone uses? The bottle says 2%, but I mixed it up and cant smell anything, its Amish Quit scent from AH/RE. Would it be ok to up the FO load?
  19. I'm confused, are you using Vybar in soy? And a Tablespoon per pound?

  21. I couldn't find them online either, but I haven't had the chance to make it to the store. I know a couple of weeks ago I had to buy some jars for a church project and I didn't see them then, but I wasn't looking for them either. I really hope one of my Walmarts has them!!
  22. Thanks Chefmom, I'll keep that in mind for my next order!
