  1. Have to agree with Grumpy, it's not all that much as people think. Buy by the pallet and your good to go. Take adavantage of free shipping as well, C&S just had a free shipping on 500.00 or more I took full advantage of it with wax....At least they offer it on wax most suppliers won't do that so kudo's to C&S!!!!
  2. Hi there..If you are using straight soy you will get better throw from a blend. Oils need heat to throw well, soy burns cool so you don't get as a good throw. Mixing para with it will deff increase your throw. Also your soot might be from your oils, you could be adding to much I know you said you tried different loads but you would be surprised by backing off the correct amount your J223 candles won't soot at all...I do a blend but used to use straight J223...hth
  3. I absolutely agree with being polite and certainly would not say to have my lawyer look at it....but offering a replacement before seeing the actual candle and damage is going to put a chandler in the poor house, I don't care if they get defensive or not, I want it back. Eveyone mentions bad CS with a company can spread like wild fire well so can't suckaaaaaa..:tiptoe: We all obviously know to be polite, that goes without saying, or at least I would hope so but I would also not send any replacement until the product came back and not 3/4's burned either. Yes it is only an 8oz tin but what if she has twenty friends....I honestly hate being a pesimist but a candle that splatters all over the table and walls??? Not even an air pocket would do that it would just drop down into the void and the flame would be huge... I for one cannot wait to hear the outcome of this...
  4. Hey girl!! Yeah I guess you can fabricate but who would put the time into that for a candle? Course people never cease to amaze me. 9 times out of ten when people claim something was broken or didn't work and you ask them to send it back @ your cost and you never hear from them. I had that woman last year say my candle did something and I told her I would gladly replace it for her, could I please have the four digit number off the bottom of the jar for the lot #...yeah she supplied one.....ahhhh I don't have four digit numbers on my labels...doh!!!! lmao...I still love that one...
  5. Nope doesn't sound like she's looking for sympathy at all....more like money. Tell her to take a picture of the damage and the candle and send it to you. Edited to say if she claims they cleaned it all up if the wax was dyed there will still be evidence on the walls from the dye....Not even a strong draft would cause the wax to splatter all over the wall and there would be no flame to keep a pool, it would have to be a tsunami!!! lmao......Honestly sounds like a scam to me..
  6. Are those the ones from "Our Own Candle Co"? I saw this manufacturer at an antique store last year in Maine but they were in those handle mason jars. The guy was so proud of them as he got them at a trade show and everyone was swarming all over them. Last month I saw them on a dollar store supplier site that I have access to for .50¢..yeah that's a quality candle alright!!! lmao
  7. hey all...I need to find someone for a potential account. I stopped doing the lotions and stuff a few months back and really don't want to get back into it. Anyhow I need someone who does the following butters, gels, lotions, polish and bombs etc and would be willing to accept a private label. If your not good at designing labels we can colaborate on that aspect so don't worry if your label design isn't up to par....I want a website to look at, I want my client to have a website/product to look at...so if you don't have one we're going to have to pass...Examples/history of private label would also be good...if that's what you do. Pm me with web addys so I can review the product and forward them onto her...thanks I hope this works out for whoever gets the gig and hopefully me so I can do the labels for it!!! lol....

  13. Yup Filmores lids are a bit different..the plastic thingy is closed and not open like TJS...but still have the same plastic/rubber stopper. At least not like TVG's where they are pita to fit...good luck to ya
  14. You might want to try fillmorecontainer.com for those jars and lids. They are seamed and have the plastic to fit right... http://www.fillmorecontainer.com/product.asp?deptID=3&sku=H3498J&sID=29BMTMFCHMSS8MSTRKLVT6GXKX8V2T6A I think, I'm not positive but I think the glass is made USA....don't quote me on that... hth

  17. As long as the inside is sealed it will be fine....
  18. I used to do it but it was just to much of a pita to keep up with restocking inventory, keeping up with what was selling, pulling stuff that wasn't, I'm very bad at doing my "paper work" so others probably find it not a problem just to time consuming for me. The shop owner is responsible for the selling. The percentage I was paying was either 8 or 10% plus a monthly booth rental fee.
  19. call me frugal but it worked...I found 4 folding doors sitting out someones house, the ones they use for say closets with slats and built my own....I just hinged them together, broke slats on each side (same level on each side lol), had home depot cut some plywood planks the width I wanted and they slide right though..if you want a pic of what I did pm and I'll send ya one....They fold up nice and flat and I just tie off with a bungy cord so they don't flap around when I carry them in and out of shows....I have another set found the same way just waiting for me in my shop...
  20. It was attended...until he left...lol...We're all only human...:rolleyes2
