  1. Does it get thicker when you add fragrance?
  2. From my experience, every time you heat the soap up it will become thicker but you may not notice until it has completely cooled down. I don't add any scent to mine until I know I have the consistency I want. I have my recipe with the oils I use down pat now so I know exactly how much water to use. Have you neutralized yet? That will thicken it up as well.
  3. Those are beautiful Sharon!!!
  4. Looks great.... love that color
  5. WOW!!! Didn't realize you were so talented!! I love the grinch and that boot purse...So creative :highfive:
  6. I use to think the same thing. It is a very interesting process and the end result is oh so nice just like CP soaps
  7. You can also use Citric Acid but I haven't tried that yet. I have the book on liquid soaps and it says you can use either or but that Borax is chosen over the citric acid because it will also thicken your soap.
  8. That's what I did. Used that technique with my own recipe. And I know what you mean about leaving it undisturbed...it's sooo hard.
  9. You can cut back on the borax next time if it's too thick for you or adding more water works too.
  10. Looks great!! Mine is the same color as well --maybe a little lighter in color and it's on the thick side but I like it be more like a gel which it is.
  11. I order from here all the time. I placed an order last week and noticed that option which I chose not to buy the extra insurance. Low and behold I got my order (case of body spray) and one of gallons had somehow leaked into the box. I don't know if it was the it was packed or the way UPS handled it but I emailed them and they are replacing what was lost which is about a 1/2 gallon.
  12. Great save. I just love pink and brown together. I am sure they will sell well for you.
  13. Looks good. I don't cover my milk soaps at all. They get a little ash on top which I like but you could always remove that later if you wanted to.
  14. That's wonderful!! I remember when my family wouldn't try my soaps. Then one day they did now my mom can't get enough of them especially any with goat's milk in them. Glad to hear your sis likes your soaps!!!
  15. You could always make your own. It's really not that hard once you get the hang of it. That's what I do. Just be sure to use EO's not Fo's.
  16. For me, my favorite is Clean from NG
