Thought I would post a few pictures of my set up from Saturday. I was invited to set up at our State Park for membership day. Because of the heat that has been in our area they offered me an inside spot, which I thought would be good until the day came and the weather outside was beautiful. There was alot of foot traffic outside and very little in the area I was set up in. so heres a few pictures. tell me what you think I am open for suggestions

I agree with all the above advice, my story is the advice chefmom and blacktieaffair gave wraped in one...lol I started with none wicking items and worked with candles as money would let me. I havent been doing this as long as many and my system is a little different. I wasnt one of the ones who loved candles before I started making them, I LIKED CANDLES, but I LOVE SCENTS!! but once I began to work and see the product created after hours, days, months of testing it is a JOY...its like watching your baby grow through stages of life!!! If this is what you really want to do then do it, BUT please take in consideration all the advice that is given to you, read read read...I still fall asleep at my computer or with a book in my lap from information overload( its like Im in college again...lol)..have fun, be safe ...and always think about the safety of your customer....that is all...welcome to the board!!!

I get my portion cups from Walmart too, its cheaper to get it there for me and I don't have to worry about shipping cost....they work great

I second NG Sinfully Hot, i make it in melts and a linen spray it was so strong I couldn't take it

i use zinc wicks with igi6006 and I like how it burns. You have to make sure wicks are trimmed to avoid mushrooming( is that a word?) my jar is 7 1/2oz libbey elemental jars, from hobby lobby, the dia is about 7 3/4 and 51z works with most of my scents..I also use 44z with my 2oz tins it gets a little hot so I will be testing a size down for these

looking for a starting point to wicking 1oz deep metal tins. I use 44z to wick 2oz tins and they are fine but not sure if it would be good for the 1oz tin... they are 1 1/2in wide and about 1 inch high...I use 6006 wax and I dont think I will use any dye..Do I wick these like t-lights? Im not sure any help would be greatly appreciated

wow this sounds great, but I have to say having insurance is very important when selling,but wow what a great thing..although im not sure because you are doing it as a garage sale...maybe just selling items...I dont know I dont want to steer you wrong, some of the more experienced people will chime in...good luck

I was at the health food store today and saw Natural vanilla bean, my mind began to race with the question how can I use this in my Melt and Pour...after searching with no results can someone help me? can I use this in M&P? If so how? I did disect one of the pods to see what was on the inside. it smells really good ...any help would be appreciated

I use them and I do know what your referring to but its not a problem for me,I'm at the last of my 875 box and i can say it hasn't been that many

I have a craft show on the 19th..its my first yay so today I made melts and 2oz tins butt naked monkey farts banana nut bread cream brulee sweet pea honeymoon romance fig and melon honeydew melon melon jasmine honeysuckle fresh linen .......I think thats it im going to bed now..off tomorrow then M&P on Monday...

I ordered mine in March and it was under flower pot/votive..now it has #67-69, but if you look under it it has lid-67...not sure

nice video Paul, my M&P always looks thick, do you remelt inbetween? where do you buy your base from?

temp goes down to warm..200 and so on...nothing thats the good thing unlike the double boiler you can just melt the wax in the presto pot and its easy to clean. some people mix fo and dye in theirs I dont I still use my pyrex or pour pot for that..try it girly you will like it I think lol

Lauren You have to get one you will love it, it helps also if you use two differnt waxes you can have them both going and warmed in no time...I have one with the spigot I got on ebay but I also have a reg one and going to get another for my M&P soap

I did have a few issues a few weeks ago regarding web price and what I was charged but its was taken care of quickly...also the shipping but now I understand that they do not add shipping until the order has been processed in the warehouse then thats when we are charged...try OBI or Levine...lol I order from all three they all have something that sells good
