There are 30 ml (or cc's) in an ounce. 2 Tablespoons in an ounce. Three teaspoons in a Tablespoon. There are 6 teaspoons in an ounce. 15 ml's in a tablespoons. There are 5 ml's in a teaspoon. Did I help or confuse?:smiley2: LMK If I can help anymore. I'm lousy at % though. Sometimes the small amounts in ml's I measure using a medicine cup like the ones with kids cough meds. The lines are sometimes in teaspoons or ml's. Glo

Hey guys, I was at the dollar tree the other day and found these neat containers that I thought would be just right for this project. They are baby snack containers. Look to hold maybe 4 ounces and come in a variety of cute colors. Plastic with a snap on lid and best of all 6 for $1.00. I liked the idea of the real play doh containers but all I found was a two pack for $1.00 so these are a better deal for me.:smiley2: Glo

Man I don't get it. Shipping to KY for 20.00. I had a case of the jars, lids to go with them and 12 glass jars. Why in the heck did they want 60.00 from me? Now they are all gone:angry2: .

Well how kind was WSP postage monster to all you guys? He killed my order. . $60.42 for standard ground shipping. This is utterly ridiculous. I'm 3 hours from them. I placed a very similar order with bayousome 2 weeks ago and it cost $16.11 from Georgia for heavens sake. I live in Pa. No wonder they can sell cheap, they more then make up any savings on shipping. Years ago I made the recipe on the side of the red devil can a lot. It was just home rendered tallow, water & lye. Maybe a tablespoon of borax for some bubbles. We used it for bath soap as DD had super dry skin. My mold was a cardboard box lined with baby diapers. Glo

Nice to know!! My candle room has carpet-dumb I know it was there before it was a candle room. Last summer I accidently left the spout open on the full batch in the presto. Now that's a nightmare. DS comes running-"Hey mom, what's running all over the floor in the candle room?" I've been ironing wax out of the carpet for months. Glo

I think the plumbers tape is called silicone tape-my hub has used it around the house. As for leakage -I just hosted a swap and some sprays were sent- one package had 3 completely empty bottles due to leakage. Side note to the swap-I just found out that you are not allowed to USPS any perfumes, mouthwash, hairspray, after shaves etc. I really never knew this before.:undecided I've sent perfume as gifts for years.

So strange that black salve would be a topic today. My daughter was just asking me if I had any last night-haven't used it in years. She slipped in the woods and fell into crabapple tree and had a thorn stuck in a sensitive part of her upper body for several days- OOOOOOOOH;) . We had the salve years ago when she was little and it did work well for drawing splinters and such. We even used to use it in a nursing home I worked at for decubitus ulcers(Bed sores). Glo

Ditto on what others have said Tucker. You'll feel so much better after the surgery, don't give up on us yet!! My grandfather was in his mid eighties when he had his hip done. Unbelievable how much of an improvement-he'll be 90 this summer & and he's like the energizer bunny-going & going & going. Glo

Ok I have made London Lemon Curd and Pink Sugar CP's. Pink Sugar turned a really dark uneven brown, Lemon Curd is trying to go nasty brown too even though I used lots of yellow oxide. I know this is due to vanilla or something in oil. Question-does anyone know how to keep them from changing? I have titanium dioxide but haven't used it yet. Wasn't sure exactly how to use it or how much or even if it would help?? Anyone know? I did get a pink sugar in a swap that was actually pink- someone knows what they are doing, LOL Glo

I did do a couple of batches of salt bars months ago. Can't remember exactly but I know it was high in coconut, equal amounts oil to salt(table) and I worked super fast and put it in individual molds because I had heard they were almost impossible to cut without crumbling. Sets up really fast and unmold quickly or it is too hard to clean up the bars. I think I followed directions from the soap dish (Iben's salt bars). Glo
