  1. Nice! Do you mind sharing where you get the blanks and branding iron?
  2. I did one outdoor show in the Fall and never did another one again. Though the temp probably didn't get any warmer than 75 degrees, my candles melted and faded horribly even though I used UV Inhibitor. I had a canapy but didn't have sides on it. I will no longer do another outdoor show unless it is at night. In addition to the candles melting and fading, it got really windy a couple of times and everything got dusty.
  3. I started with parrafin and then soy and now use a mixture in my candles. I like the idea of using soybeans because it supports the farmers who grow it.
  4. I like the label, lid and twine with beads are great. The tag might work if you make it smaller and print on it (instead of hand write) using a printer. I like the decorative edge on it.
  5. Maybe you can find something from this site. www.glueit.com Here's a video clip on how to use the Glue Dots if anyone is interested on what they are... http://www.glueit.com/products/glue-dots.html
  6. You can get it at WalMart too in the crafting section.
  7. Wow! Your candles, labels and presentation are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I would buy your candles in a heartbeat. (I might have to find out where you live in Australia and have my friends pick me up some next time they visit their family.)
  8. www.overnightprints.com makes really nice business cards. They have a nice coating over them which makes them first class.
  9. I've only seen this scent in an essential oil. I got a sample from www.thesage.com, but their site appears to be currently down.
  10. Bittercreek Peak Candles Candle Science I like KYCandleWaxSupply too but their shipping is a little bit higher so I don't order from them as much as I would like to.
  11. I make mine using 1 TBS FO and 4 TBS beads. That way I'm not adding a lot of beads if they aren't soaking up.
  12. Don't give up. Just add more and make note of which scent took a lot of beads so you know next time. Make sure you are shaking them several times a day.
  13. Some scents just take more beads to dry out. There are quiet a few scents I make that are like that. I use the bead from BC.
  14. I was thinking something in a light floral scent like Jasmine or Honeysuckle.
  15. I've tested some shower gels that have a weird smell such as what you are describing. I don't like that smell so I've never sold it because as a customer I wouldn't like it. I'm still searching for that perfect base...
  16. Make sure you are setting your printer for paper/labels you are printing on. Your toner might also be getting low.
  17. I seriously want to get an embroidery machine after seeing that beautiful creations you've been making. Maybe when I retire in 20 years.
  18. I don't use this wax but am wondering if it has soy in it? Have you let it cure for awhile?
  19. I'm not sure if these places carry the black mica but here are a few links: www.tkbtrading.com www.thesage.com www.brambleberry.com
  20. I don't know because I've never used black oxide. I've used brown oxide when I made brown fudgescicles bars and though it made the washcloth brown, it washed out.
  21. Black Iron Oxide will work in clear M & P soap to color it.
  22. You did a great job! I love the FL feel of your website. I love the labels on your jars too.... simple but professional looking.
