    I use LX-10, and they work well for me.

    I use a thin knitting needle to carve what I want into the candle. You have to make sure you go pretty deep. I then fill the indentations with candle paint that I bought at Michael's. Once it's dried, you can rub the excess off with a wet papertowel, and then buff it up with a piece of nylon pantihose. Work's pretty well for me, but I know that other around here have used other methods......

    Yeah, I wish I'd known that before I ordered 2 CASES of 1343!!!!! I figured seeing as how 1343 is a straight paraffin, it would be the easiest to work with using additives?!?! Shows how wrong I was........ Oh well, here goes many - and I mean many - more crappy mottles........

    I'm probably going to get flamed for this........... But this is the funniest story I've heard in a long time - I laughed until the tears poured down my face! Not that you got hurt, or anything, but the image that popped into my head was so "cartoonish" that I absolutely cracked-up! I am, however, glad that you weren't seriously hurt.

    WOW - I'm glad you're okay, and that you didn't burn down your house!!!!! Sometimes it's just not a good day for candlemaking. Maybe you should take up knitting - oh, but then you'd probably poke your eye with the needles....... How about scrapbooking - oh, but then you'd glue your fingers together.......

    LOL..... No tlc - the average spelling errors don't bother me!!! I'm not perfect and I'm sure I've misspelled a few words. What makes me nuts is those posts where every second word has letters missing, letters transposed, and no punctuation. It's like the person hasn't even looked at what they've typed!!!! And then we have to sit for 5 minutes trying to figure out what the heck the poster was trying to say....... aaaarrrgggg!!!!!
