  1. Where do you purchase your 415 from? Thanks for all the tips. Sorry to hear about your tarts, you must be from Wisconsin
  2. Stella thanks for the info. I have been using KY125 have had excellent results, but now the only thing is the shipping cost! When they were located in KY it was cheaper that SC. Yes, I am driving myselt Crazzie! Just trying to pour that perfect candle!
  3. I just bought my presto pot and seems I have some issues. I melted 1lbs. soy wax KY125 with 1teaspoon coconut oil. Heat to 165 remove from pot - poured into another pot with FO of 1.5 ozs. Poured at 100. Its been 5 days went to check on the candles and it seems part of the FO is sitting on top of the wax. Seems I have been having so many issue ever since I started the presto pot. Does it not get hot enough? Can I re melt the wax and repour these?
  4. Very nice web site! You have a lot of work in it. You have such a huge variety. Excellent! What do you do with the wax dipped clothes pins?
  5. Do you fill the Presto pot full of wax or just what you need?
  6. When using the Presto pot do you fill it with your wax, keep at the same temp - then pour into another container for mixing FO, dyes and ect. How many use the Presto pot
  7. Is there such a thing as over stirring Soy Wax? I am using KY125 stirred and stirred and stirred til the temp was 110. I poured at 100, it sure is not smooth. At what temp do you usually stop stirring the Soy Wax?
  8. I accidently ordered the wrong wax. I received KY125, tested it out for my container jars - it is an excellent wax. The cold throw and hot throw was excellent. Might have to change my thoughts here. I have been testing C-3 :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:
  9. We have had so many storms in Wisconsin, its just crazy! Hot humity then storm! I even had off from work for a day because of no power. How crazy is that!
  10. You also forget that you are supporting the farmers in the USA. I come from farm country and feel it is very important to support the USA.
  11. This might be silly, but you found the darker cooler basement did not cause frost. What happens when the customer has the candle in a warmer area than your basement. The candle would still develop frost. My theory on the no color with soy is you are trying to promote effective candles from soybeans meaning green! Candles without the dye look natural.
  12. I would not shy away from a Scentsy Rep. I have done a couple shows with a Scentsy Rep and did excellent! The rep came over and said he tried my tarts and they were not as strong as his Scentsy tarts. I stated how it was the first time I was in the area. He didnt know what to say! They just want to scare us away! NOT going to work here.
  13. OMG I just called her on Friday about the KY125 wax, wondering when she is getting it in! Thats terrbile. I love that place! Anyone know a good wax supplier for the KY125 substitute; I use it for my wax melts!
  14. Now I am on my 3 hour time and they both look the same, the CDN has more mushrooming.
  15. This is the CDN wick after burning for 1 hr. 10 minutes. CDN12 with 1 oz. of Apple Spice FO
  16. This is the CD wick after 1hr and 10 minutes burning. It is a little off centered, but not a full melt pool. CD 12 wick with C-3 wax. 1oz. of fo Apple Spice
  17. I have a couple bags of 464, will have to try and use it for tarts. I usually order KY 125 for tarts, but it seems they are out for now.
  18. I just got done testing my C-3 wax in the small square mason jar using a CD 12 and I also tested the CDN 12 - I think the CDN is the winner. The CD one started out a little shaky after about an hour of burning the pool was only 1/2" around the wick the CDN had a great melt pool and also a great scent. I purchase my fo from Candle Cacoon - apple spice. Now if I were to test a taller mason jar, but the same diameter would I have to go up in a size or can I keep the same size? Does anyone know where you can purchase CDN wicks? I noticed not too many companies carry them.
  19. That would be really a neat candle. I was in the same vote you were, yes you have to read read and read! Test and Test. I am almost done with testing I'm hoping for a great miracle on my next batch. I think I have ordered from every candle shop in the area trying to get that perfect candle. Good luck on your new adventure - it's fun! Make sure your order for some sample pacs of wicks.
  20. Just curious if everyone orders from one favorite supplier for frangrances or do you order certain types from certain suppliers.
