I used 1 ounce to 1 lbs. pounds of wax Ok so I have a bag of 464 from Peaks and Candle Science Wicks I have ECO 8 Coreless- Bittercreek EXO 14 Candlescience ECO 10 -Bittercreek I previously used the 14 and 10 on testing. This time for testing I will use the 464 1lbs or should I order a bag of 415? ECO 8 and 1ounce of frangrance I do have some coconut oil should I use some of that? I have some scents from Peaks of Rose Bouquet and Cappuccino Hazelnut. Or I have from Candle Science Sex on the Beach and Blood Orange Thanks everyone for your help.

  4. Oh well, Bella Rose you have to keep on practicing til you get it right! I dont think its your problem - you have your perfected candle recipe that other forum people helped YOU with! Get a life!
  5. Bella Rose you were once a newby and asking for advice. If you cant share what you have learned I dont think you should be knocking the new people on this forum! Especially when you just became a new member! Thanks for the advice of giving up candle making. You don't have to be perfect to be wonderful!

  7. There is a sticky in the Veggie section of this board that has a list of what other peopke have found to work in soy. Maybe start there. I did check out the sticky veggie section. Very informattive, will read it over tonight. I used 464 no coloring, melted the wax at 175 and poured at 120. In a 8 oz mason jar with CD 10 and I also tried the 14. A BIG thanks to all who is helping. I love candles and do not want to give it up.

  9. I just cannot find the right candle. I've tried so many. Im up to $2,000. on my credit card! My last try I thought I would want to do the 100% Soy with no coloring. I tried the Soy 464 (peaks) and Eco 14 in a mason jar. No smell when I burn. The burning looks awesome. Cold throw is where I want it. Why in the world would it not give a hot throw. Very fustrating! If anyone could give me some advice, Im so confused at this moment! Thanks much!
  10. I started using IGI 4794 it was okay, but I was not satisfied. Someone on the board recommended KY's tart wax and I love it. It really has a good throw. ~good luck

  16. Just poured another testing batch with Cinnamon Buns from Candle Science we will see. I made on with Eco #10 wick and Eco #14 wick.

  21. I used Hot Apple Pie from Aroma Haven Used 1.5 oz per 1lb of 464 soy wax. I tested it for 3 hours. I am on my second 3 hours. I love the melt pool and the top is still looking good. A little mushrooming.
  22. Testing another candle 8 oz mason jar Eco 14 wick Soy 464 When the candle was curing it smelt awesome, 2 days into testing - no smell. Do I go down to a smaller wick.
