  1. Thanks guys, that is what I thought.I thought about trying a different kind of wick, but you know how hard it is to find the right type and size, that when you do,your too scared to change!I can deal with the mushrooming,it actually creates a little more light, which I like!!Thanks again!
  2. I've been using hemp wicks because they burn the best for me in my soy containers. My only issue with them is the mushrooming wicks.I know there is no way to keep them from doing it,but before each burn can you just trim the mushroom top off and light it?It might sound like a silly question, but I was just wondering that after doing this a few times if the candle might not burn the same or would there would eventually be nothing left of the wick.Any thoughts?
  3. Type of Soy or Soy Blend you use? Ecosoya CB 135 Additives if any? None Preferred dyes? Havn't found a preffered one yet Preferred wick (Not sizes)? Hemp Pouring temp you recommend? 170* What you do to prevent frosting? Stir well before pouring and pour at hotter temp What you do to prevent rough tops? Pour slowly, use hairdryer to fix tops Do you do anything to prevent wet spots? I try preheating the containers but I still get them
  4. Thanks for the replies.I have tried that FO without the dye and it's always been fine.Any suggestions on if I can repair these? They don't look absolutely horrible,i'm just kind of a perfectionist.Lol!
  5. Haha, couldn't help myself!I'm thinking of snagging it up myself.I'm a sucker for a patchouli combo!!It must be the hippie in me!! Haha!!
  6. I just poured 2 different batches of tea lights and the first batch I used 2 oz frag(by mistake, meant to use 1 oz)and ended up using 3 color blocks to get my desired color. That batch has a lot of frosting on it.The second batch I used 1/2 frag(it was a strong one) and 1 1/2 color block.I poured them both at 170*.The 2nd batch looks and smells fantastic. So,do you think the frosting on the first batch is caused by too much color? They are 100% soy btw. I havn't burned them yet,so I don't know how well they do.Also,is there a way to fix the frosting on the ones?Does anyone know if I remelt them and let them set up again if that will help the frosting or if they'll just set up the same? Thanks in advance.
  7. You are very right, there are great suppliers in the US and I probably won't buy from this company considering the prices.I did find that white patchouli at oregontrailsoaps.com by the way.
  8. My bottle says not skin safe.I make candles so it didn't matter to me,but I absolutely LOVE this scent! It is one of my favs!
  9. Hello!I came across this supply company while googling and was wondering if anyone has ordered from them?It is scentperfique.co.uk I know it is in the UK and normally I wouldn't order from out of the US but their fragrance list is quite enticing to me.They have scents I have never heard of that sound magnificent.Just wondering if anyone had heard of them before I get all "FO happy" and order from them! Thanks to all.
