  1. While doing some listings over there on Etsy, I got sidetracked and started browsing around at the competition and saw this: "Other sellers claim to have "highly scented" tarts, but only use 1 1/2 ounces of fragrance oil per pound, some maybe 2 ounces. I use right at THREE OUNCES PER POUND and figured out a secret to making my soy wax take it all in! I use well over the max suggested (pure uncut fragrance oils). It is expensive for me to do this, yet I sell for much less than most others because I want everyone to be able to enjoy the wonderful scents of warmed soy wax." So here's my question and I'm pretty sure I already know the answer.... 1. Is this possible? 3 oz FO per pound?? And still be "Soy" not blended? Oh and my second point...I now remember why I don't go trolling Etsy much anymore LOL *Btw, I so hope this isn't someone on this board, If so... I'm sorry*
  2. Thank you both =) We really just have fun doing what we do. @TheWickedWick, yes they are all electric with dimmer switches and the 2 cubed ones are 35W. As for size, we usually put 1 or 2 cubes from a clamshell into any of them but I have put a 2 ounce cuppie in them before with no spillage either. The butterfly and star trek ones are a (without looking) 25W or 35W as well.
  3. These are all hand painted by us and all one of a kind. We strive in our glass painting to never duplicate any designs. We hope you enjoy =) Here is our butterfly tart warmer: We call this one art deco: One for you Star Trek fans: One of my fav's, the hardcore warmer: And I know these are not candles but I just had to share these two... They are so cute and whimsical. They are both from our "Baby Gaga" series were working on currently. Poker Face: and Just Dance: Soon to come will be a Bad Romance one and a Born This Way also =) Thanks for looking and a happy early Thanksgiving to all!
  4. We have been using Avery but now I think I'll have to check out Print Shop.
  5. Who's up for a trip to Wally World tonight??? Thanks for the tips Bliss and what lovely work! I do think it just adds cuteness to the tarts =) Now I was going to say something about wick trimming to you but... nevermind LOL
  6. Same with most here, we wipe ours down with paper towels after a batch and just go on. Deep cleaning comes every few months. That small amount of wax doesn't effect the next batch IMO, the only down side is color... I have a batch of Magnolia (normally white) that has a slight tint of pink LOL
  7. Very interesting feedback guys and thank you all! I also love the look of these tarts and think it does add to the appeal of them. I also agree with Ravens in not adding any sizable embeds that would take away from the tart itself... Still debating on using glitter or taking some of this super paraffin we got from another candle company when they closed and dye it, chip it or shave it and use that for the "glitter"... But I'll probably do what we all would do... Try both =) Again, thank you all for your input on these and I'll be sure to post up some pictures once I get my testing done =)
  8. Good point AlwaysWondering! And I agree with Ravens too about not doing them all the time, it would lose it's appeal in a way. What do you guys use for the sprinkles? Is it just glitter or shaved wax sprinkles?
  9. We have our market this weekend as well but starting to test out a few new to us ones, Cranberry Balsam, Frosted Pinecones, and trying another Cucumber Melon as well. Also stocking up for the market with tarts, jars, oils, and more painted glassware too. Did someone say it's the busy time of year??? =) Good luck to all of you with shows and all you testers out there too!
  10. Just got mine today and can't wait to take some new pictures =) Anyone used this one before (or similar)? Any tips on set up? Thanks! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001MYASTG/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details
  11. Sorry no help over here either Ron, we have played around with some gel wax but got it from our supplier locally and it was labeled. One thing I can say is WOW it took forever to melt the gel wax down!
  12. Just looking for some thoughts on doing the clamshell "tarts" with little sprinkles or embeds on top. Do you do them? Do you like them? Most of all, would you buy them? Personally, I think they are cute looking but when using them.... It's all just melted wax. *blacked out any company info*
  13. Very nice! Hope it brings you LOTS of holiday joy! =)
  14. Again, what I thought. Wild Wild West is different than Wild West. Not sure if Deb got a letter either but didn't want to bother her either... Anyways, renamed to either Leather Fetish or Windy City Rock.
  15. OMG LOL! Love it!! I'm torn on the name Jack LOL But you know it would sell like hotcakes!
  16. Really that's what I thought I got from what I read too but I guess the "big guys" scared us off... I even hate to say but I kind of like the Giddy Up name or heck.... we could do what Troy has been wanting to do with it... Call it "Leather Fetish" =) LOL
  17. Hey everyone, sorry for posting earlier and running but had things to do today. Anyways, here is the message we got in regards to the Wild Wild West: To whom it may concern, This letter is to inform you immediately to cease and desist using the name Wild West and destroy any packaging materials you have. Wild West is a registered trademark owned by Renee Gabet / Annie Oakley Ent. Inc. Thank you for your immediate attention. Renee A. Gabet CEO/Founder Annie Oakley Enterprises Inc. 300 Johnson Street, PO Box 172 Ligonier, Indiana 46767 Phone: 260-894-7219 Fax: 260-894-7104 Renee@AnnieOakley.com Not from NG as you see and I know Deb doesn't mind anyone using her names or descriptions for products either but then researching this, I found that they DO have Wild West trademarked but I didn't see Wild Wild West.... But I think we are just going to change name of this one anyways... Just seems simpler..
  18. Just curious if any of you that carry this FO have gotten a cease and desist for using this name? I tried searching for it but maybe it's too early for me, I need more coffee first... So if this is trademarked or copyrighted, what did you rename this FO too?
  19. The oval hex have been our fav's so far but were also looking at new styles too so we feel your pain... I do agree with everyone else tho on the local aspect. Shipping jars is a killer!
  20. Welcome to the forums and your new addiction =)
  21. Thanks for the input everyone but don't it figure they don't have it listed on the site now LOL Just my luck. I did call and it's just out of stock right now.
