  1. Safely hun we say for per pound of was (16 ounces) if your going with the 10% thing, it would be about 1.5 ounces of FO. To do the 6% you would be just at about 0.9 ounces of FO per pound. Hope that helps ya hun
  2. We have seen this too in the past. Also when making tarts with soy using a bit of steric will harden the soy up also. Makes it much easier to pop out of the molds
  3. We have never used them before, and really will never even look at them if this is the way they do business. Reminds me of those Ebayers that sell a item for $.99 but shipping is $29.00. There has to be a way to give a discounted shipping cost, but will they do it? Or is the better question, how money hungry are they?
  4. Hi guys, we have been looking through all the wonderful pictures and the creations that everyone has posted and just LOVED them all!! So we got inspired to post some of our candles and things One thing I did see last month is a guy defending that you CAN color soy brights colors and even black.. we agree totally We also hand paint glassware, including our custom fragrance warmers And some hand rolled cinna buns These were a HIT! Thanks for looking
  5. Thank you so much JacquiO, we really can't thank you enough for sending her a message for us
  6. Look, were not trying to start a disagreement here with anyone. Im sure there are many others that have lurked in the shadows reading and researching for a long time *like us* And I will apologize right now for "bombarding" the forums with apparently our worthless posts..... its weird, for some reason we actually thought this was a "friendly forum" but maybe our thoughts were completely wrong............ Thanks for the great welcome to CraftServer!
  7. Rightfully it would be hun if we were just saying "BOO" on each thread, but we actually did input what we do know... so don't personally see that as spamming? is it? If so we are sorry. And didn't notice the 30 day rule, thought it was the 8 post OR 30 days. Guess you never tried to save a few bucks on anything did you?
  8. We have picked up a few "used" fryers and had good luck with them all hun... if its a good deal I would jump on it
  9. Tried that link and for some reason coming up not allowed for us, so don't know if we messed up. In the marketplace the thread title is: Clearance! and her name is DANA, Join Date: Jul 2006 Thanks guys!
  10. We just signed up tonight but have been lurking in the background for quite some time. But we need some help here. There is a thread in the marketplace: http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90989#post838474 We want to contact the seller about some of her items but cannot post in that forum yet or use the PM, would it be to much to ask one of our fellow candle makers to reply to her or PM her and pass our email so we can discuss her sale? Our direct email is EccoLightsSales @ gmail . com Hope this isn't wrong to ask, but just can't pass up a good deal in this economy. Thanks everyone and LOVE the site!!! xoxo Rob and Troy Ecco Lights
  11. We would go by the wax %, different waxes can hold more FO, the FO is typically stated to hold a % with a certain type of wax. Probably not the wax your using tho, so follow the wax recommendations IMO
  12. The first one's are usually the hardest hun, best of luck in your candle making adventures
  13. Hi DelphicScorpion and welcome! Were new here but not to the business If we can ever help you out feel free to PM us anytime Rob and Troy Ecco Lights
  14. Same issue here, not sure if its 30 AND 8 posts or one or the other... soon to find out... there's a killer deal in the Marketplace and we want to contact the seller Good luck!
  15. We would think it is a matter of to much dye... possibly..
  16. Hi Cindy Were new too and hope you are finding things as wonderful as we are *waves wildly* HI EVERYONE!!
  17. Personally guys, with the FO being add'd at 170 or higher, and not having experience with the waxes your using, we would have to assume that the flash point of the FO was much lower and you burned off the scent... Just our thoughts
  18. Hey guys and gals, New to the site but have been making candles for years here. We make soy containers, tarts, votives, tea lights and just get creative with our products Love to custom make scents and we also do hand painted glassware that we fill with our candles too Hope to meet some of you and maybe throw in our two cents here and there Rob and Troy Ecco Lights
