  1. COnsidering that gas just hit three dollars a gallon here, then I would say that it will go up considerably. Everything will. Shipping, the supplies. :upset
  2. I always loved Twigs and berries in a bluegreen scent.
  3. Shipping from the UK sucks. I would LOOOOVE to have a recipe for this stuff!!
  4. Do you say that you didn't make the candle, because you didn't create the wax, and you didn't create the FO and the dye? No, it's yours. You didn't mix the wax if you bought a preblend, but it's still your candle, right? Same goes for bases. You bought the base, but you CREATED the product.
  5. I used food coloring with my goat's milk soaps. You must be VERY careful not to use too much though. I used too much once, and it made a very disturbing smell in the soap. I have never used the paste, but now that you mentioned it, I am going to have to try it, being as how I have some at home. I decorate cakes also. :lol Will be trying that when my soap from the coop gets here, and will let you know, if you haven't already tried it.
  6. Wow! You all stay BUSY!! I am going to be cleaning, chasing my kids around the house to keep them from killing each other, and candle experimenting. Also, waiting on a phone call from the Chamber to see if I got the job doing gifts for the Festival.
  7. I know that there was red devil lye at our local grocery store the other night. If you all want, I will go there tomorrow, and find out the price and size and all that, and if you want, I will get it for you and ship it to you for the exact price, no extra.
  8. Stormwatch from Peaks, and their wild Raspberry. Sugar Cookie from Paplin.
  9. I would have loved to have carried stuff like this, but I had the scent, Sex on the Beach, and Twigs and Berries, and people just about died over that. I would hate to see what they would do with those two. LOL.. I live in a very small town.
  10. I know I have seen it somewhere at a pretty good price before. I found it at the Chemistry store, but you have to buy two pounds, and I don't need that much. I am going to attempt to make some solid bubble bath. Thanks for all your help!!
  11. for doing the overpours on the chunkie candles? I am just not getting the look that I want. I can barely see them. Thanks!

  13. OMG!!! I Freaking LOVE those!!! Another brilliant idea!! HOw does he make the curls?
  14. I am blown away by your artist ability, and the beauty of the candles that you produce. Wow!
  15. I like the second one better, the first logo seems too "busy" to me. I also think that moving the name to the left side would be more beneficial.
  16. Let me just say that I have always made candles a very light color. I never made them very dark, because I just liked the lighter shades, so all mine were very light. So, I just figured to make them lighter, you added more dye. Well, I have been adding more, and it isn't getting much better. ROFL. I may try the black, thanks! I have been using the Peak's Pillar blend, *can't remember the number at the moment, I am stuck at work at the moment* and the mottling wax.
  17. oh. my. lord. I would be FURIOUS with him!!!
  18. I am having a hard time getting a darker color to my candle. I have been noticing how pretty some of your candles are in that super dark color, and know that my SIL would LOVE some in those colors. How are you getting yours so dark? I CANNOT get mine dark, and I feel like I am using a TON of color. I have tried both liquid and the diamond shaped chips.
  19. Let your products speak for themselves. Don't be nervous, because you KNOW that your products rock. Plan out every detail of what you want her to know, write it down, so that you don't forget. Ask her if she has questions, so that she can question you about anything that you might have forgotten. Type up your prices, quantities, etc. Just be prepared, and it will all be fine.
  20. My cousin just had a baby, about a week ago. I printed off a picture of her (the baby) off of the hospital website, and made a hurricane candle out of it, with the pic imbedded. I colored it lightly pink, and had just a smidgen of scent in it. I gave it to her the other night (I had practiced making hurricanes for two days) and she LOVED it. Guess what? I forgot to take a freaking picture of it. Ugh!!! I could honestly see tons of flaws, but since it had her baby girl on it, she didn't seem to see any. I love these hurricanes!!! I appreciate being able to find directions on how to do things here. I learned how to do these candles from the directions on this site!
