  1. soap queen has some on her web site. I have not tried making these.
  2. Really.... from what I saw people loved her stuff. have you used the sfic? the sale is to the 4th (already past) i wonder if they are still having it. I need like 40 lbs for shows in December.
  3. hi... all oil does. smell it, if they have a funny odor like stale don't use it, it's vegetable oil so it will decompose with time.
  4. mmm i dunno... i have never made wine soap. but yeah between the stiring and the heating up with the sugar in the wine and cool time it should be disolved.
  5. Hi.. I nearly posted something like this also. I also woudl like to hear of some of the people that made it happen. I would love to be able to quit my day job.. but that is a long way away.
  6. Was there anything else added to the recipe? Any sterlic acid?
  7. Hi, just wondering if anyone uses the Melt and Pour Goats milk from essentialsbycatalina and what they thought of it. i was going to purchase 40 lbs. for christmas product.
  8. i know nothing about wax cupcakes also! BUT what about using a piping tip... Maybe a start tip. I know with soaps people use that for soap cupcakes and it is easier to pipe them out with the start tip and gives it more structure. i would agree that you need wax that will not spill everywhere. Container would be too loose or runny when burned.
  9. I found mine at walmart... I've gotten other shaped cup cake type molds at Michaels
  10. I am going to try molds next time. They were tough to time and cut if you let them get too hard.
  11. They actually didn't set right up on me. Maybe it was the FO? I had time to color and do a layer on top. I just then dragged a chopstick thru it to get some kind of swirling of the colors. It had started getting to a thick pudding stage then.
  12. Other than the sci this is like the recipes I have used. Perhaps I am mixing the wrong. I will test this one and let you know my steps. I will read over this one in detail. I am doing something wrong.
  13. Shannon's Favorite Bubble Bar Formula: Dry Phase: SCI 4% (I'm experimenting with higher percentages of this) SLSa 18% (Working to replace with Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate) Cream of Tartar 26% sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) 37% Wet phase: cocamidopropyl betaine 8% coco silky cleanse (or DLS Mild or some other gentle liquid surfactant) 6% fragrance 1% color (I've used liquid lakes and mica. they both work fine) It only takes a teensy amt of color! what is SCI?
  14. I've tried a bunch and none of them are good. either they get really too hard or don't bubble well. I really would like to have these available for people, but i can't get them right. They have been asking for them.
  15. i also tried these this weekend. They came out great. I did wait too long (ok I fell asleep on the couch waiting) for them to cool down after the oven. Some broke apart but overall it was a good first try.
  16. first salt bar attempt. I had about 1/2 of them fall apart. I think i let them get a bit too hard. But still not bad for a first time.
  17. hahaha thanks guys! they are grroooovy man.... They are perfect colors for patchouli!! I just hope they bubble well with all the color now. I am really happy how they came out considering how thick the batter got on me while pouring and this was my first column swirl. I need more practice! i also did it in my big 25 bar mold. next time I am doing a smaller batch for a column swirl practice.
  18. hi, i have tried several recipes for bubble bars and I don't have good results. Does anyone have a good recipe that they love that they don't mind sharing?
  19. very nice! I need to try these very soon!! What sent is it?
  20. It gooped up on me. I was so worried it wouldn't come out. Thanks guys!
