  1. Was wondering if anyone knows where the mold for these cute little Angels soaps can be found: Thanks in advance!
  2. I was mainly wondering if there was a way around leaving behind the pieces of the grabber fabric....can't see it, it may be a little bulky where I leave it, but oh well..........thanks for all the help!
  3. I actually stuck my grabber fabric in between the layers - so it's hidden....but there will definitely be 'chunks' of it left where I quilted into it....hand quilting........
  4. Wondering if anyone can help me with quilting to the edge of my quilt....I attached my 'grabber' piece of fabric to make enough for my hoop to grab (does that make sense?) But when I quilt to the edge I'm quilting into the grabber piece of fabric and am having to leave pieces of it when I remove the grabber piece......hopefully this makes sense I don't have a border attached yet....I guess it's too late now since I've quilted to the edge on two out of four sides..............have I wrecked it???? TIA, Judy
  5. Angel is probably one of my best selling soaps. I hate to admit it but I buy SC's - - have tried many others over the years and it is the best - but the price, OMG. I just hope for every bar of Angel I sell - that I sell 2-3 bars of unscented Oatmeal to offset the cost of Angel! I did buy WSP Angel, and it's pretty close.....
  6. I know - my postmaster admits he know nothing about Regional Rate and is learning from me. The free boxes just save me so much (with most of my orders shipping within my 4 state region).....if I had to buy boxes; ugh....another expense........
  7. Yikes! I wonder how you got past the 25# limit?? I was never even able to get a price.........it's all depressing (shipping orders or ordering supplies)...ho hum...
  8. Thanks for the link - - I should print that out for our Postmaster guy who works at the post office - when I told him of my 'issue' he asked me if there were weight limits on the Reg. Rate A & B boxes (!) (I just make soap and pack it 2-3 times!) He admits no one there really knows anything about the Regional Rate boxes......
  9. I always seem to learn my lessons the hard way; oh well, what's a little more grey hair!
  10. Just a heads up - - After carefully packing the products/getting everything all nice an snug in the new handy Regional Rate C box...go online to print my shipping label; so proud of myself that I got it all 29#'s of product in one box and that the rate was going to be soooo good....well, huh - no Regional Rate options on USPS online...crap - spent all morning packing this, what's the problem???? Call USPS (only on hold for a brief 12 minutes) only to have her tell me there's a 25# limit on the RRate C box........................ Wonderful.... One of those days................. Hope yours is better!
  11. Checked Dollar Tree and The Dollar Store yesterday....no luck. Yeah, I'm looking for the rectangular one, without the 'cord'.....I really like the Kingsley Colored Plastic ones I've found while searching, but $3.50 each! Yikes,,,,, WSP has a wooden one, their price was $3.60 each (if I remember correctly)... man, that would really drive up the price on my little Gardener Soap Dishes...................
  12. Thanks Maggie - I'll try and look there. Good idea!
  13. Can anyone lead me to a supplier of fingernail brushes (at reasonable prices)? Usually buy from Pendergrass, but they're out of stock....Cotton Blossom Crafts doesn't seem to have them anymore.....any help would be appreciated! TIA, Judy
  14. You might check out: http://www.4dacres.com Not sure what quantities he sells in...................... Judy
  15. Would anyone know where I might find a premade liquid soap/shower gel with emu oil? Thanks in advance! Judy
  16. Regarding peeking - - - I'm not sure what the deal is with that.... been making soap for over 15 years, never cover the soap and can watch it from start to finish...Is the main 'fear' letting the warmth out? I pour my soap in a deep box so the bars are technically standing up - so it is deep. Some fragrances generate a lot of heat and I do sometimes get a crack in the surface.... but never cover.......guess my soap comes out ok - people still buy it )
  17. Any supplier you would recommend?
  18. I love the Regional Rate A box - it has saved us so much $$ when shipping 'close to home' - - the funny thing is we can't find any info on the USPS website as to what the 'regions' are and how the rates are actually calculated. Even our postmaster admits he doesn't know how the system works. (Small town ) But I know a priority box #4 that would cost us $5.08 goes regional rate for $4.97. Not a huge savings but there were many times shipping for Christmas we saved as much as $2.00/box when using Regional Rate. Plus the size/shape of the box packs better.
  19. Will an oxide stay dispersed in a shower gel?
  20. Is it just me or does anyone else have trouble coloring shower gels purple? I cannot keep it from fading into blue.....I'm using the deep purple from Peacock Colors...but have tried others in the past. Could it be the lavender EO? But, I think I've had trouble with other FO's too............... Anyone know of a colorant that stays true? TIA, Judy
  21. Without going to their website - I think Square charges close to 3% for a manually entered card (?) - - After I figure up all the expenses involved with having a payment gateway, etc. my total cost is right around 4%....I don't know if it's worth messing with for the difference in cost... maybe I should check and verify Square's fee; then there's the PCI Compliance which I don't think I'd have any problem with - BUT- I'd have to have anyone ever think it was my fault their info was stolen................. Judy
  22. We use our IPad and Square for craft shows and 'off-site' sales..... Authorize.net for our web sales....I did call and get off of 'paper statement' which saved $5.00 - - but it seems the fees are just piling up...like everything else I guess \
  23. Just wondering....with web orders slowing down - - it just kills me to pay the monthly fees associated with processing cc's through a payment gateway on my website. I know, it's the most secure way to handle customer's cc info but am wondering if anyone out there receives an order then processes the payment manually (like with Square).....we do not have random employees/people who would have access to cc info... Any thoughts on this?
