  1. I think I'm going to need a little more direction CareBare,,, I searched for just nipples (not a good idea), my candles have nipples, nipples on my candles,,, I'm finding all kinds of semi-interesting info but nothing to do with my wax popping problem!
  2. Oh Geez, no wonder I couldn't find anything :pHere I go searching for nipples!!! What a crack................ Thanks CareBare
  3. Apologies in advance if this subject as been covered in the past, searched but didn't find anything.... It's like the wick has sprouted like a new little plant and pops up a piece of the wax! Not huge, just a little piece; sometimes there may be a minor crater also. I'm pouring votives, Ecosoya PB... adding color/FO at 175, pouring at 150 (plus/minus a little). Have tried pouring with wicks already in cups, placing wicks after wax starts to set up; have tried covering to keep warm; still happens. In searching for an answer I'm thinking this is a temperature issue as I am pouring them in a cool basement - - I've read that pouring at a cooler temp. may be the solution - can I pour this wax at any temp. as long as it still pours???? I know I can fix this with the heat gun, don't want to do a second pour....just want them to be perfect right off :smiley2: Thanks in advance for any advice!
  4. I went ahead and ordered Peaks' Fresh Brewed Coffee. Thanks to all you offered help and suggestions. I will be using it in soy, so we'll see how the test batch comes out:smiley2:
  5. I was looking for a recommendation for a good coffee fragrance and I see a good review for ICS..... can someone please tell me who that is,, this much if can figure out ???? Candle Supply :tiptoe: Thanks!!!
  6. Thanks for all the great feedback everyone, it's always nice when this type of information can be shared so we don't waste our time and $$ testing FO's. I've always been a little nervous about buying "candle" fragrances to try in CP soap. I've found that even though it says it's safe for skin applications that does not mean it will work in CP soap. I will post my results as I order and test fragrances, too.
  7. .... can someone tell me how to find the Gallery? Sorry - just can't find a link.
  8. Thanks for the scoop on their fragrances - how exciting to find good fragrances for a reasonable price! I've got the Cranberry Marmalade, the Tuscan Melon and one other (going blank right now ) but I'm definitely going to try them all now! Yippeee!! Thanks again!
  9. Sorry if this has been discussed - did a search couldn't find anything.... Anyway, I made CP soap with Candle Sciences Fig Tree (after loving it in candles) - it performed beautifully, made a nice creamy, smooth, soap. Now just waiting to see if the fragrance holds..... I was wondering if others have had success with quite a few of their fragrances in CP soap... they have quite a few fo's I really like but didn't know if I just got lucky with the Fig Tree (I was definitely waiting for the cottage cheese effect)... TIA!
  10. So many creative people here - thank you thank you thank you all! There are a couple that have clicked, I'll let you know what we decide
  11. So many good ideas, thanks everyone!!! We've got quite a few to toss about.... Ok, it's after 9:00 - arent' we all too old to be up this late!
  12. Does Crazy Mountain have a website? I can't seem to find one for them.....
  13. Bernadette - You said the EXACT thing I was thinking - those icky floral (public restroom) sprays from way back when!! I think they were actually worse than the smells we were trying to cover up. ...does anyone remember this scenario... Here comes your mom!! Quick, open the window!! (Picture us waving our hands at the screen) Like, yeah, that's going to help.... but all moms were dumb back then weren't they?? :rolleyes2
  14. :yay:This is just too fun - I may never get the product off the ground but you guys are making me laugh, and after 20 or so days of sub-freezing weather I need a laugh! More great ideas!
  15. Thanks for the input Bernadette - that is a good thought.... you had this idea, too?? How funny - we must be from the same era! Seems like most of our customers are "our age" and we thought it might bring back memories and generate sales, but maybe not. Who knows..... I just hate to have the run of the mill "linen and room spray".. thanks again!
  16. Hi all - need your help on naming a product... We are going to have all products with a 60's theme.... having trouble with our room spray.. Remember way back when you were doing something (smoking something, say cigarettes :smiley2:) and you wanted to spray something to cover up the smell?? (ok, it was probably just me!) But we want to call this stuff something a little more creative than Room & Linen Spray (boring). All I can come up with is "Cover Ups" - but that's just really not clicking.... Is it asking too much for any ideas out there? You guys may all be too young to remember 'back then' Thanks in advance for any help.
  17. How about boxes?? I use USPS Priority mainly because of the free boxes... I figure if I had to buy shipping boxes that would add $$ onto each order,,,, so I usually choose USPS, free boxes and the flat rate shipping - - (unless the order is pretty large) I think it's hard to beat. Most of my orders average around 2-3 lbs. Just my 2 cents
  18. Thank you so much, I will check them out right away!
  19. Does anyone know of a good source for wholesale "accessories" - tart warmers, the little decorative plates (?) you put pillars on, etc. ? I have seen the supplier Levine (sp?) - - but was wondering if there were any others out there. Thanks in advance!
  20. I was having quite a bit of frosting - and when using 1 oz/pp I was getting no scent throw, hot or cold. . . . . . adding the small amount of 4627 improves everything. I may even have to cut back some on the fragrance, too strong for me! Thanks everyone for your comments/suggestions.
  21. Would that be Orange #5 and Red #33???? Beautiful combination!
  22. ... this is just a typical votive....like I said, I'm a newbie! :tiptoe: I can't sleep at night, I'm buried in a pile of wicks; all different sizes and makes.... if anyone EVER thinks candles are easy they're crazy! Thanks so much everyone!
