  1. It did the day I made them - and then my garage for a day or two while they sat out there (it's cold right now) and hardened up. Now the basement smells yummy!
  2. I just ordered it a couple weeks ago...came to me pretty quickly. What did you email them about?
  3. got mine here http://thevintnervault.com/index.php?p=view_category&search_text=cream+of+tartar&x=0&y=0
  4. I had gone to wally world in the donut section to grab one of the papers you pick up the donuts with - I got it to test out a couple of ideas for wrapping different things. It worked perfect to wrap around a massage bar and then put that into the tin!! Keeps the massage bar from bouncing around in the tin and getting all yuck-o.
  5. All of yesterday's together Gardener's Soap Papaya Mango Green Irish Tweed Sweet Pea Sweet Pea to show of glitters Patchouli Pink Grapefruit EO/Lime EO Vanilla Sandalwood Beer A bunch together...
  6. still no cut pics - i do have them cut I just haven't had the chance to take the pics.
  7. it came from bitter creek and is specifically for CP (but CAN be used in M&P according to their site)
  8. Luminous - I got my VS from BC - it's made for CP http://cart.candlesupply.com/product.php?productid=20326&cat=0&page=1 Candybee - I tried cutting them and they weren't quite ready - a little tacky still - I'll hopefully get cut pics by Monday. And let's see - the body frosting - some is unscented, Patchouli, BRV, and some Love Spell. Hmmm - I was thinking there is one more but I'm drawing a blank! LOL
  9. well it's in the crock pot rebatching right now. I'm :rolleyes2 over it though because I cut into the soap to rebatch it - fully expecting a mess inside and it looked JUST FINE inside - I could have just shaved the top off and been fine - but NO - I had to cut into it like a maniac so it HAD to be rebatched. stupid soap!
  10. oh, and yes - i know the one overheated - i'm not really sure what caused the overheating...the FO i suppose.
  11. My 4 soaps from today Left to right South Paw Beer - Patchouli - Vanilla Sandalwood - Pink Grapefruit & Lime EO See the funky-ness on top of the Vanilla Sandalwood - like curdled milk. The only thing different for that one (compared to the patch and PG/L) is the FO and that it has vanilla stabilizer. ??? Body Frosting that I made Wednesday
  12. Thank you everyone! Yep - this morning I went down to the basement to put in a load of laundry and couldn't help but go over to the drying rack and take a huge sniff! LOL
  13. Made these Sunday and cut them just a bit ago! Strawberries & Champagne - new soap recipe I'm testing. Also has Goat Milk. Oatmeal, Milk & Honey - has real honey, goat milk, and oatmeal (and a tiny bit of Vanilla FO). Castile - 100% Olive Oil and Goat Milk Here's the picture of all of them just after I made them - DH made the wooden molds for me!
  14. Correct - add FO and coloring if you want A serrated kitchen knife - of if you have one - an electric knife (much easier) And if you have them - the silicone muffin pans are super easy to use - the loofahs usually fit quite nicely in there.
  15. or there is this place! http://www.onlinelabels.com/OL5175.htm
  16. do you have a menards? they have 100% lye there.
  17. I saw them at our Hobby Lobby. It's kinda funny because they specifically say (or maybe it's the warmers that go with them) that they are NOT Scentsy. The name is nearly the same though...not very orginal on their part! LOL
  18. This is awesome! I went and bought two today. I debated the heart shapes muffin cups one...didn't end up getting it. THANKS FOR THE TIP!
  19. That could help! I do find that the bath melts are sometimes a bit too much...when I just want a little something, putting some of that in the middle could give best of both worlds (cause I do find that the cookies are more scenting than the melts!) GOOD IDEA!
  20. Well, I'm less than pleased with these. They looked wonderful and smelled awesome! BUT...they never did get very hard...hard but crumbly I guess I should say. Even more than that though...they sucked in the tub. Yes, they fizzed and did their thing, but other than the scent and the cloudy bath water, you would never know that I'd put anything in. The bath melts I make are wonderful and make my skin soft...not the bath cookies. I'm going to play with the recipe some and maybe combine the bath melt and bath cookie recipe to come up with something in between. The look of the cookies is adorable but the skin softening properties of the melts are way better. Oh, and here's a picture
  21. I should add that I almost quartered mine. I changed the quantities to %ages and made a 9oz portion. I used 0.3oz of Key Lime Pie FO. I did go back after posting this and add some more cornstarch and then a tiny bit of water. It made them clump together much better but I don't know if they'll dry out any better. But still need ideas for next time I try!
  22. HELP! I made the recipe and followed it except I used regular salts and safflower oil instead of rice bran oil. Well, when I first tried to ball them up they wouldn't stick (too dry and kept crumbling when I went to push them down). So I added a little more oil (per the directions). They balled up and smooshed wonderfully. But now they won't dry. It's been 24 hours. they are still soft like real cookies. I've made bath bombs and such before so I know what they *should* feel like and they are NOTHING like that. I even went to the extreme of sticking them in my food dehydrator...yeah, it's not helping. So should I stick them all back in a bowl and add something? If so, what do you recommend adding...more cornstarch? (I don't have any natrasorb or dryflo) I thought this was going to be so easy and even posted to Judy, USMC that it would be. How frustrating for someone that's been making soaps and such for a long time that I can't get this simple thing right! LOL
  23. Never made these before but now they are on my To-Try list! The cornstarch actually works as an IPM so maybe that will not make it too oily. And it totally looks like a good first timer project!
  24. BOO! Thanks for letting me know. Has anyone found this kind of box at any other stores?
