  1. Sadly, you are absolutely right. Look at YC. Their money is in their marketing.
  2. I agree with lmc. Pear & Vanilla Bean is on the milder side. I'm planning on putting that one in soap.
  3. Pure woodsmoke (my fire chief brother in law loves this stuff) - BCN's Campfire Smoke (it is strong). For a warmer, cozier fireplace scent...Aztec's Cozy Cabin rocks. At least you have lots of options out there.
  4. 100% agreed. Written return policy is a must, or you will be taken advantage of like this. Doesn't matter if she doesn't end up liking them, she ordered them & you provided what she ordered. How many of us have ordered oils from companies & wish we hadn't?
  5. http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?98014-Those-that-used-GreenLeaf-s-70-30-What-Do-U-Use-Now&highlight=greenleaf+70%2F3 lmc's right...it's Clarus 3022 @ Connie's Candles.
  6. I know they're on the expensive side...but hot diggity...they are well worth it. Xmas Spice is a good one too - albeit needs a rename. Great year-round scent imo.
  7. Like all suppliers, it's subjective. That said, I like a number of their oils. A perfect time for you to jump in with their sale & try a few.
  8. I can tell you the Xmas Eve isn't a dupe of YC. I thought it would be. It is a sweet sugary plum scent, though. The YC type is one is one of my standing faves too. If I remember right, you don't care for the orange scents, correct? If you do, the Orange Clove is one of the best out there, imo.
  9. I live about 5 hrs away from them...it costs me more to have shipped wax to me from them than from across the country. Nuts.
  10. You have to try some Cozy Home from Millcreek...if you ever tried Dutch Apple Pie from Swan Creek Candles...pretty much exactly the same thing (probably is...wouldn't suprise me).
  11. What is wrong with people? Nevermind, too many answers to that.
  12. (It is fun...once your hair grows back from pulling it out so much!)
  13. Isn't it just a cheap, fun hobby that you can make lots of easy money? ;-) Esp. with the holidays creeping up here.:undecided
  14. I use straight up paraffin (KY's or IGI pillar) with 3022 for myself. Works like a dream. That wax is an elixir. I have to get me some more. I told my husband I need more like a hole in the head...he just smiles & says, "Whatever makes you happy". Love him.
  15. That Sugar Cookie Dough is the bomb. I just poured some mason jars with it last night...can still smell it lingering in the house. A keeper!
  16. Thank you, Moonshine. I appreciate that. I just received a few others of theirs...they are pretty wonderful (not cheap) but, exquisite. Sounds like this one may be more suited for paraffin or lotion/soap.
  17. :-) I know, right? That's what you'd think. Positive, though. New Cabelas in Green Bay.
  18. Here I misspelled it...would think based on phonics - not. CABELAS I love the idea of piped in scents too.
  19. I should add...the clerks did acknowledge it was a piped in scent - not just the aroma coming from a display. Ah well...it sure smelled good.
  20. I wandered into this new store after an appointment today...the scent is like a sandalwood/fireplace type that has me I asked the clerks what it was...think they would tell me? Nah. They said they had no clue. Anyone ventured into one & have a guess at what that scent is? I'll have to make another trek back some day & sniff some more.
  21. Sweet Cakes sells a dupe of BBW Stress Relief. Here's their description: Stress Relief Scent (type) Fragrance: An amazing duplication of Bath & Body Works' popular blend, with a healthy helping of natural essential oils. Top notes of peppermint and spearmint are believed to reduce fatigue and increase mental alertness. Essential oils of lavender, clary sage, and juniperberry are considered to be calming and uplifting to the spirit. Additional accent notes include laurel leaf, coriander, mandarin, and menthol. A warm and woody drydown is created from amber, sandalwood, jasmine, clove, pine needle, and opoponax resin. BOTTOM LINE: A perennial best-seller here at Sweet Cakes. I wanted to try it myself.
