yep it is the same one you get at walmart or dollar tree, I get mine for dollar tree, it is a biy snug, but it looks great. I used my container wax, which is pretty soft and it slides right in, I sold the hot pink ones the most, but dark red (rose scent) sells well also. I asked her to make one for me for the dollar tree dish. Course mine are all one color. I will try to post one later. Great deal on the mold, plus hers are so soft and easy to remove.

I like this one, it is the dollar tree heart I am selling a ton of them for valentines!

I use paypal, for both online and stores. The monthly fee of 30 is deductible. I do not need anybodys address. I can fill in the cvs if I want, heck I don't even need their name. I put it in to keep myself straight. I love it as I can download all my transactions into quickbooks. I have had one person try to do a chargeback. I always put in what they bought and when they filed for the chargeback I wrote what they bought and where they were when they bought it. Then they remembered. I guess they just didn't get it with y business name.

hubby TOTALLY frowns on the magnectic thing, says it ruins the paint underneath. I got a custom front plate, made it balck background with bright orange letters. Just my website. I have gotten a few orders from it. A lot of people look at my car, though. I drive a beetle. (orange), you wouldn't believe the people who stop you to talk about a beetle. I have even had some want to sit in it, so I have to keep it clean and smelling nice, I always keep a few smell goods in there to sell on the spot. I wanted magnetic sign, but hubby about dies when we tool around town as it is. I have it "dressed" very girly.

here we pay a use tax, if we buy it using our id (in state only) and don't pay tax on it, we are supposed to declare it. I was told that if it goes out the door with the product we do not pay tax on it. I found it easier to pay the tax on items I want for the business, nothing to declare that way.

You can put it in. here is one problem I see. When you take paypal, when they pay, it goes to paypal. You would have to have a totally seperate one for credit cards. Depending on the setup of propay, it might not be as easy for them to pay you. People want quick and easy. I know I don't like it if after I buy I get some email telling me to wait for their invoice and then have to go to their site, log in, etc. Paypal knows all my stuff, just click on pay, type in password, and pay. My coverage is better when purchasing through paypal also, my bank just doesn't want to fool with item not as described.....paypal sucks it right up.

I sell on ebay, I consider it advertising. I really don't sell candles or many tarts though. By using my auctions as advertising, I am able to get many hits on my website and therefore more sales. ps...It has to be done correctly or you will get turned in and they will yank all of your auctions. Here are some ideas, perhaps the seller only has certain scents on her ebay and the rest on her website. perhaps she has found that once people buy from her they will reorder from her on her website, (if she only puts her web addy on her tarts, they will go there and then see other scents) I have sold some of the ones that i have discontinued on ebay, so maybe that is it, although, some of the sellers seem to have been doing it for a long time. I suppose she could have her process set up so she can mass produce, or maybe she is getting a bunch from somewhere. In Ohio, we went to a flea, they were selling 8 oz jellys for 2 bucks, called it your own fundraiser or whatever. They had people hauling them out by the caselots. I wouldn't have thought you could make any money on that, but, if you can buy in that large of bulk, figure out your procesing, i suppose you could make money on it.

I am amazed that she is able to cash your check at all, my bank will not allow a check 90 days old to go through.

Actually that 3/4 rule has been in effect for a while. My post guy has a template that he slides the package through, if it fits it is okay, if not, it is a package. Now here is my thinking, if my po lets it go, it may or may not go through later, I would be pretty embarrassed to have my customer have to pay extra on their end. Also, on the 13 oz thing, make sure it is 13 and not 14, even it if is .0001 over somebody may catch it and then it is considered priority. I had a customer email me irate because he had to go to the po after work to get his overweight package and then pay priority for it.

I use high temp wax, I think you are supposed to use hurricane, but I am not sure, all of mine melted down when I use the larger flicker bulb with regular wax.

notify the 3 major credit agencies also, they may try to buy a car or something! They can flag your account. Tehn when some company calls to see if they should give "you" more credit, they will tell them it is stolen and maybe (hopefully) catch them.

I don't waste my money on business card stock, I buy card stock, it is the same thing as the cheap business card stock, I used to cut them, but I found it was quicker and easier with the manual cutter machine for business cards.

I don't need a cutter with mine, I just seal it and it "leaves" the extra.

The bad deal with paypal is you will have to pay for everything that comes in like it was a credit card. If they have money in their account and it transfers to you, you will still have to pay the card fees. They also have the premiere account rates and then the merchant rates for cards. You might have to jump a few hoops to get the merchant but it is worth it.

I can see why they would have a miniumum order. They have to package small orders, especially as they are wholesale. I think it is a pretty low minimum. Most wholesalers require you to buy $100.

I wouldn't do it. I sold a wholesale part of my business last year. He hired somebody to run it. I tried to stay out of it, but it drove me crazy. I hire people to work for me, just recently I hired a good friend, it is working out, but then we are not partners. She still is my friend and unlike my other workers she can do more than turn on a computer I can't imagine having a partner in my scent business. To many decisions to make for two people. plus way to many chances on them leaving and starting a business against you.

I have a warehouse, occaisioanly packages are addresssed to my house, (figure that out) bill to and ship are totally different, so sometimes I get two ups drivers. I gave the main business guy a key, no longer do I have to worry about running to lunch if he hasn't been here. The house guy usually runs into the business guy and he comes back. It was a pain before, going home and finding packages on my porch, I just love my ups guys, but fedex is not so good here, they are always late late at night and I am not diriving back to get my packages. Mail lady honks, but as she can pull up to the door it is no big deal. I take my packages to the small post office anyway, as they will scan them in and she won't.

I have found a problem with my company name, when people write checks they feel stupid if they can't spell necessities, maybe yours would be the same? I fixed mine by having them write checks to Nanas. The bank accepts them, so.... I tried putting the spelling all over the place, but you can tell when somebody stops writing that they are embarrassed and don't want to tell me they don't know how to spell it.

I give my mom, kids and mil whatever they want for themselves, they shop at my stores for presents and pay wholesale. ps, any broken things go to them and they fix them up. I can't imagine charging my mother. cripes. I couldn't look her in the face. She always offers, but she my mother! I think I owe her more than a few tarts..etc... pss, my mom lives hours away and when she comes for a visit she often comes in and makes her own. When I change scents or delete some I pack up what is left and send them to mom, she is "supposed" to share with my 2 aunts. I mean what else do you do with the old and ugly?

I make "old fashioned lye" soap. I use the "snot" to clean my clothes. (nice description) I do use hot water and add it to the wash first. I pretreat my hubbys stains with it also.
