I love bubble bars! I make em for myself and friends, but yeah it can get spendy. lol
I think the cream of tartar gives them the breakable consistency. The ones I make, and the ones from Lush are solid, but squish-able.
I'd be really interested in a co-op too!!

I'm still really new to soap making. I looooove looking at the pics in the gallery here, and I loooove browsing the handmade soaps on Etsy and Artfire.
I have a question tho, and maybe it's dumb, but I really don't know! lol
I've seen lots of soaps with clear chunks in them.. or swirls of clear (or tinted, but transparent) in an opaque soap. Are there melt & pour soaps? Is there a way to make a cp soap look clear, or transparent?
Thanks for your help ladies!

I don't know for sure, but I kind of doubt it. I think cream of tartar is what gives bubble bars their solid, yet breakable consistency.

Thank you! I'm so proud I'm telling everyone I know! LOL

I just had to share, because... wow! I've been trying, and trying.. and finally!! I found the recipe that works best for me!!
In case anyone is wondering, it's the recipe from Costal Scents, the one that goes along with the video how-to.
I scented them with Lick Me All Over, amazing!!
I've since made a 2nd batch, and they came out great again, yay! lol

Thanks Donna!!
And, as far as Lush fragrances go Darbla, they're awesome! The products are good, but really I think it's the fragrances that make them so popular.

As far as I know, Tramp isn't in "The Collection". I'd like to figure this out too! lol
