  1. Great job! Soaping is so much fun, as everyone else said, you'll be hooked now! I've un-molded too soon before too, and once the bars are hard you can go back and kinda trim and buff them up and they'll look great!
  2. The only flavor oils I ended up getting from NG were Vanilla Smoothie, and Tropical something... I really liked them both! I have the sweetener from MMS, and I used that with them. I used the Vanilla to mix as well and it was very nice that way too!
  3. I love NG You got three of my favorites! Lick Me All Over, Blue Hawaiian and Frosted Lime Cupcake are all sooooo goood! Strong, long lasting and smell great (I think hehe) I use them all in B&B and CP & HP soap. Let me know what you think of Honey Love Dust, and Tooth Fairy Taffy once you've tried them. I've been thinking of trying those for a while. Hopefully you change your mind about a few of these.. hehe
  4. Oh wow, this is some pretty amazing soap! You've got a lot of patience to make soap like this! hehe Probably why I've never tried anything very complicated... lol I bet it smells amazing too!
  5. So beautiful! I love doing HP in the crock pot! Yours look so pretty, I love all the colors and layers!
  6. Cool, thanks Kyme Looks like I'm going to try Elements!
  7. Hi Dan I've never used a base, so I can't say if you'd need an FO modifier or not. In my experience there are some FOs that just do NOT mix in no matter what. I have used poly 20/fo in water (creates a milky appearance) and I've used the fo modifier from WSP in water, this almost always creates a clear spray. My solution: amber colored bottles, with the words "shake before use". LOL
  8. Thanks all, maybe I will have to place a small order and try Elements
  9. Hi everyone! I checked FO Finder to see who carries a Flower Bomb dupe, and they are all suppliers I don't normally order from. Does anyone have some I could buy? 1 or 2 oz. to test out would rock! While we're on the subject, which dupe is your fav? I'm tempted to try Daystar's as all the oils I've ever gotten from there are amazing!
  10. WOW... seriously, amazing. Those are so beautiful!!
  11. Oh wow, that's beautiful!!! I love that scent, Mmmm... butt naked... LOL
  12. omg, YES Strawberry Musk is amazing ... soooo good!
  13. Hi Sherry, I'm not Kitn, but I've gotten the perforated shrink wrap from BrambleBerry I'm pretty sure I saw it at WSP also.
  14. Candybee, I'd go for a liquid surf, if you're planning to add it to MP soap. I have to say, I've never had a problem with low suds when I played with MP. I've used bases from NG & WSP.
  15. Ooo I vote for Strawberry & something floral... rose, jasmine or gardenia! I mixed up a Valentine scent for my sis that was strawberry/chocolate/champagne & a tiny bit of musk that she loves!!
  16. I love it! The little hearts are so cute!
  17. I concur with the others, let it sit for a few days and see. I've had a very similar experience with I soaped very cool temps. and it just took longer, MUCH longer before it became hard like my other soaps.
  18. 25 lbs. of tallow?! Wow!! I can't imagine.. *faint* I haven't been soaping much, busy with school.. but I had a dream about it last night, so I think it's time to make a batch! The hardest part will be choosing the FO. I already have a recipe planned, trying something with mango butter!
  19. Well I finally got around to playing around with this.. lol I tried lsg's first recipe and only changed up the oils used. It's very nice! It's taken a few days to get used to, but I'm really liking it so far. I'm going to try making it again, using tea tree and a fo, see if I'll still be able to smell the tea tree thru it. lol
  20. SO cute! I love Quietgirl's recipe, it's good soap!
  21. Ooo, interesting! I'm with you Luminous, I can think of better things to do with vodka than make soap! LOL
  22. I've never used a base, I just mix up my own with distilled water, and I also use the modifier from WSP. 99% of the time when using that modifier, I get a clear spray. I have had a couple fail and turn milky, but I believe that might have been a measuring error on my part. Before that I mixed my FO or EO with Poly 20, and they did turn milky every time.
