  1. the pecan sounds delish...need to get me some pecan to try that out.
  2. yums but I already have Pumpkin Cappucino from BW. I mixed it with Carmelized Pralines and it might be a winner...Pumpkin Praline.
  3. Right, that's what I thought. With mineral makeup, I just say that titanium dioxide can provide some "natural" sun protection. You can't claim that it will or what the SPF is. But for personal use, it will protect you depending on the amount that you put in the product. That was the original question, I was just making sure that she wouldn't make any claims.
  4. I have over 10 oz of CS Pumpkin Souffle and I just can't sell it alone...it is not popular here. So I was going to mix it up with something. I already have a Pumpkin Creme Brulee from AH which sells great, so I need something different. I have CS Very Vanilla for Vanilla Pumpkin, or I think I have cinnamon for a Cinnamon Pumpkin or maybe a Pecan for Pumpkin Pecan...any ideas/suggestions???
  5. I agree. The PB mixed in would be perfect.
  6. I do the same. I mix the PB with a parasoy container blend to soften it up...they still pop out great but it increases the scent throw.
  7. Are you also using fragrances from CS? Are you using the CD wicking or eco when you say #10 and what jars? Also, did you let the candles cure for several days before burning them? 464 is soy and will need a cure. The throw could be questionable until it is cured. Give me as much info as you can and maybe someone who uses your wax will chime in also.
  8. I am using CBL-130 from Candlewic. A parasoy blend. Love it. Easy to cut. Pulls slightly away from the jars eliminating wet spots..until you burn it anyway, then the spots appear, but oh well. Great scent throw with many fragrances. A little bit of soot when my customers powerburn, but with a normal burn and trimming I get no soot. I am happy.
  9. what wax are you using? and which wicks? That might help us to help you better.
  10. okay..I order from Peak. I will give that a try....thanks!
  11. I ended up ordering from Millcreek. I got Christmas Splendor and Christmas Eve along with Pumpkin Spice, Cozy Home, Mulled Cider,Spicy Gingerbread, Vanilla Hazelnut Mocha, Cinna Vanilla, Vanilla Chai, and Hillbilly Homebrew. This is my first order from there and I was impressed with CS so far. Ordered Sunday and got a shipping notice at 1 pm on Monday. I will have it on Wed. That's fast! Excited. I will get the Plumberry from KY next time I order from them, which will be soon...and Aromahaven is next for samples. Thanks everyone. I don't know what ever made me think I could give up candlemaking. The Plumberry from KY is good enough to just get 8 oz right? I am not paying $4 for 2 ounces.
  12. I third the Gingerbread Latte...a super good thrower. I use a soy blend. There are a few that I had no luck with like watermelon margarita, but the White Tea & Papaya and Blackberry Lemonade rocked this summer and sold great. Still testing some fall/winter ones...they are 10 minutes from my house, so I need to test more. Also I haven't tried the bases yet, but I was thinking of giving them a try.
  13. http://www.sugarcraft.com/catalog/candies/suckersticks.htm check these out...
  14. I would never wait two weeks for a cure, lol. I am too impatient. If it doesn't throw in 3-4 days, out it goes! I think I am going to pass on that one. Thanks for the update.
  15. I know the Scentsy company themselves will not allow more than one Scentsy per show. The consultants have to check to make sure there isn't any competition before they can sign up...that's what i was told anyway. silly...I am not afraid of a little competition myself.
  16. I think I used to use that one...long time ago. Must have forgotten it. Thanks
  17. oh, that sounds nice...going to check it out. I get some other oils from there.
  18. I have CS Mistletoe and it sells great for me...but I am looking for another pine smell, but something mixed with fruits and spice. Any suggestions?
  19. titanium dioxide is a "natural" sunscreen...but you wouldn't be able to claim it as a sunscreen without labeling it with the "drug facts" I believe, but you could could say it has sun protection ingredients, maybe. You just couldn't give it an accurate SPF rating.
  20. I use dye chips but I keep liquids on hand and use liquid for reds/pinks, and when I want dark colors of green or blue. I love chips for browns, yellows, orange, etc. Red dye chips never got red enough for me in my soy blend.
  21. I was going to ask the same thing. I have a customer wanting one. No coffee, just hazelnut. More suggestions? I would love to find one somewhere that I already buy from.
  22. I use a more expensive lid on my jars because it makes a nice presentation....but I offer a recycling program to my customers. If they return the lid after the candle is done, they get 50 cents off the next candle. It saves me a lot of money because I wash and reuse them (the lids only, not the jar) and many of my regular customers participate. I reuse them as long as they look nice.
  23. 1. parasoy 2. 12.5 oz. mason 3. sell many more tarts, but make a bigger profit on candles 4. PA- also a rural farm area 5. I just reduced my line for simplification...limited the sizes and types that I offer to the most popular.
  24. Not a pure peach but Mango Peach Salsa from Peak ROCKS! I sold out of it numerous times over the summer.
  25. Steve-the Dogwood is awesome in soy...not sure about palm. I am not sure how realistic because I have never smelled it real, but it is good and strong.
