I think I know what you mean. it seems to start happening after the bars are cut. I take an icing spatula and run it across the bars with the blade side to smooth them out again. It doesn't happen to every soap, it is like the soap gets little zits.?? -
The SF @ 5% should be just fine. Congrats on your first batch..

I read this recipe for cleaning bathroom scum on another forum. 12oz vinegar 12oz dawn dish soap ( the power clean version) Heat the vinegar until it is hot and pour into a spray bottle add the dawn and shake well, add your FO. It is supposed to work very well on hard water spots etc and soap scum.

You should be able to get the ingredient list from your M&P manufacturer. I think the honey would go nearer to the end of the ingredients list.
