  1. Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the replies....now to order some labels. I did hangtags in the beginning, but I agree--with wholesale accounts, they get bent up and look pretty beat up more times than not. J
  2. Is this one strong? I haven't tried it yet, and have been looking for years for a marshmallow that actually is strong.
  3. I vote for KY or JBN, they are both really strong and very similar, too.
  4. Well, it is a marketing term, for sure. But if the average candlemaker uses 5% then if you use 10%+ or whatever, than I guess that is technically double or triple scented.....we just say highly scented as you don't have to use more if you are using a good oil
  5. I have been adding the circle label to the top of the lid, but would like to put one on the front of the jar-----any suggestions for a square size on this jar?
  6. I have only tried two that you mentioned, Cranberry Spice and Blueberry Cheesecake---they both rock. Very strong scents, and we constantly get raves over these two. I am expecting an order that will include the others you mentioned next week. I think whether or not they work for you is all relative---just like any company. I have tried many other oils that are raved about on CT to get no or little throw. It is just the way it works sometimes, considering we are from all areas of the country, different waxes etc. I just know what sells for us, and many of JS scents are what the customers want. You can also consider a few others that are knock you down strong, too---Caramel Cinn. Latte, Mojito Cocktail, My Mamma's, Totally Scrumptious, Strawberry jam, Black Cherry, Country Clothesline, Country Kitchen, Citrus Linen.
  7. I like the one on the right, cool looking to me.
  8. The CDN's are for natural waxes. They are the same wick but coated with soy, I believe. This is what I use.
  9. This is a lighter scent, very realistic--but pretty light in my waxes.
  10. Oh, by the way Stacien, I agree--your pic is very nice. Cute baby
  11. LOLOLOL, that is too funny. Yes, looks like a well made candle to me! Good God, and they say that is one of the best in soy??? I don't think they would know a well made candle if it bit them in the.....well you know. I rest my case.
  12. I agree with the clementine spice, it is so strong and very layered. Great year round scent, but is especially popular in the fall.
  13. I never had much luck with the RRD's either, they tend to lay down and customers don't know what to do with them so many times. I am a CD wick user, and I am testing the LX series currently. If you get into a pickle you can also try Hemp for double wicking. I use them in my apothecary jars. They don't fizzle out halfway down like other wicks do. In my 4 inch jars I use either 2 1200's or in spicey or vanillas, 2 1400's.
  14. That sucks, I wouldn't order again either.
  15. Your welcome. Seattle is gorgeous, the colors are starting to change in the trees......love the changing of the seasons. That is too bad your old man hates snow, it really is peaceful in the winter, nothing like a long walk in the snow. Tho' we sure don't get much in the Emerald City. I have family in the East side of the state and they get quite a bit of snow there.
  16. This one just doesn't throw well for me....bummer too, it is a great scent.
  17. Looks like you can make lots of green candles.....sorry!
  18. Maybe the other person tests 5 times per scent because they are not good at what they do? LOL. Nahh, just kidding, but honestly if you are confident with your results, than you are doing fine. I have some scents I get right from the first try, and some scents I have to test several times before I find the right variables. It's all relative. The main thing is you tested for a couple years before you started selling, instead of testing for a couple days and selling in a couple weeks. I wouldn't change what I did just from one person's post.
  19. OH, forgot Salty Sea Air----awesome scent, great seller. I also like their spiked eggnog, it is really good, but our testers preferred JS my secret recipe.
  20. Great oils! you gotta get Pineapple upside down cake, angel food cake, banana crumb cake, pumpkin fudge, toffee apple crunch---awesome!
  21. Wow. what a scam, that is too bad. I tell ya, you just can't trust anyone these days.
  22. I agree, and we also love KY Southern Vanilla, it is wonderful
  23. the cake candles look good enough to eat.
