  1. The price for the Frostop is only $2.75 a pound and you use 2-3% so it is really inexpensive.
  2. I didn't care for NG in my wax, but either Heartfelt or JS are winners
  3. You are mixing up weight and volume. 16 oz (weight) of liquid wax has the volume (measurement) of 20 oz., when melted. Confusing! I went through this years ago when someone tried to help me out by telling me the same info. LOL! The wax just takes up more room when liquified. Same reason for weighing FO instead of measuring. Some oils weigh more than others. Just stick with the weight, and be sure to weigh everything---you will be fine.
  4. I have found similar results with it, too. I tried it in my ADM wax, and it did improve the frosting substantially. I just ordered 5 lbs, this stuff is great.
  5. KY's Southern Vanilla is a favorite here, and Vanilla buttercream crunch from JS. Vanilla Bean Noel from JGB, but they are out of business. I think someone is getting that one made up, though. She posted it on the TSR a few months ago.
  6. I love fairy dust and twinkle toes, vanilla vodoo, raspberry cordial. Although I don't get great results at below 1 oz. per pound in soy.
  7. Works great for me. I would call Becky and ask for tech help--she is awesome at helping out when something isn't working right for you. Could you have candle nose? I use over 200 scents from many suppliers, and they are wonderful in this wax. Feel free to PM me if you need tech help, too:) Jordan
  8. These are the small cubes from BCN--6 cavity molds. I have a big order for these, and didn't know if anyone had found a label stock that was the correct size for these. Thanks! Jordan
  9. Hi Holly, I have found in the wax you are using, the darker colors do tend to frost more---especially with the cinnamon/spicy scents. I happened to test a cinnamon bun in that wax last summer, and it frosted like crazy---but the Lilac scented/colored candle did not. I made a few other candles too, they all had frost, but the darker candles were terrible. That was why I didn't use it. The ADM doesn't tend to frost this much, so I stuck with it at that time. I have been using the Pryme dyes and don't have any problems with frost in the darker colors with them in ADM. I think some waxes just tend to frost more, but that is my experience. Jordan
  10. I don't think you have to worry, you are going to love her oils. You have to test them for yourself, though, to truly know what is going to work in your wax, wick, jar combo. That is a cost in making candles. I have three full walls of samples from many companies. Expensive? You bet! But that is what it takes to be a chandler. You can read rec's from others, but you are going to find everyone has different results. Give these a try while the sale is on, you can't beat the prices. J
  11. I think you will be thrilled with Becky's scents. They are top notch, and very strong in soy. I think the best question is what doesn't throw in soy from JS, because 99.9% do. If you do a search, you will find lots of rec's, I have listed mine recently. On the top of my head here are a few (LOL)-- Cranberry Orange, spice, sauce, ---all are my favorites brown sugar pecan--awesome new scent! chestnuts and brown sugar nutty spiced vanilla Vanilla Buttercream Crunch Totally scrumptious creme de la creme ulitimate vanilla vanilla of pearl citrus linen h20 country clothesline hyacinth chula orchid lilac honeysuckle pumpkin spice pumpkin nog bazooka bubble gum christmas cookies butter cookie chocolate peanut butter brownie cinnamon cider buttermint candy eggnog hot buttered rum mulberry fizzy pops cinnamon vanilla black cherry, wild cherry berrie buttercream buttercream icing nana's apple butter perfect pear rasp. vanilla cream Ok, you get the picture, they are such nice scents. Give them a try. Her sample pack is so reasonable, I don't know of any other supplier out there that gives away so many freebies. J
  12. I have the same issue with the CDN. They were great as far as achieving a full meltpool and mushrooming, but they have too much bend. I did have customers bring them back telling me they were putting themselves out. When I looked at the candle the wick was too long, and it bent into the meltpool. I told them to keep them trimmed, but in the long run, not everyone follows directions. I switched to LX and Hemp.
  13. I would suggest trying the JS soy from Just Scent. This stuff is really performing well. I am not getting any frosting at all. The scent throw is outstanding and beats the CB3 hands down, IMO I have decided to dump ADM and switch. JS soy is creamier, has a great scent throw hot and cold, and it is holding color beautifully. Just placed an order for a pallet of this stuff! Jordan
  14. I just got the list of what is on sale:) Good timing, we just picked up a new account. I am looking forward to trying the Hazelnut scents, they are my personal favorites. 15. I just ordered this size the other day. Anyone know what size labels to use that will fit the front of the 3.3 clamshells?
  16. Awesome throw in soy and JS 50/50. This is a best seller and super strong for us! Jordan
  17. Hi Anna, I am using Zinc, but testing the LX with great results!!! (Thanks ChrisR ) Jordan
  18. Just Scent!! I have been able to switch most of my scents to this company. She has the best oils IMO. As with any company some are a lighter scent and some are stronger, but most are all very strong. Only a few didn't work for me, and I mean maybe 4. They are wonderful oils.
  19. Southern Scentsations has country vanilla. It is very close to Southern Vanilla from KY. I prefer KY. HTH, J
  20. CC's FDTT is really great, but my customers seem to prefer TSB Sweet Serendipity. Another awesome grapefruit is JS's grapfruit vanilla twist. It is very strong and completely different. We sell lots of this one too.
  21. I agree. Don't get me wrong, I love a few of WYW's oils, but I can never get away with using only 4-5% in any wax. None have been strong enough for that in our testing. I think they are the same quality as most suppliers, not sure why they are so expensive. JMO
  22. Yeah, kinda light for me too. I love her Christmas Cookie, it is really good. Butter Cookie is very strong, but I can't stand that one. Some love it, so I pour it. LOL
  23. Just inventoried our oils a couple weeks ago, and we have over 500 including testers. Our line is about 200, but many are seasonal.
  24. Gotta be candle nose, this is strong in JS123, I use it too.
  25. Well, If it makes you feel any better, I can't get her this week either! LOL. She is just swamped, and hasn't returned my calls. I did email her and told her about you Good luck with your holiday season, I hope it goes well for you! Jordan
