  1. I make a carrot soap in which I use half water, half carrot juice as the liquids and it feels like lotion after you use it, it is great for shaving your leggs. Women love it, men don't. Men say that it leaves that silky feel on my skin, yuk I want to be clean, hee hee. Seriously it is one of my best selling soaps. Janis Rogers
  2. I did a show this weekend and did 3 X's what I did last year. I also got a new wholesale acct, possible fundraiser, and 2 accounts that want fall / holiday merchandise so all in all a good show. I had lots of repeat customers so that was nice, sold out of Monoi oil and whipped shea. Janis Rogers jansbathscents
  3. I know you'll love her oils, at the same time of her move her young son had to have surgery and it was kinda complicated, she had her in-laws in to help her. Rhonda is usually spot on in her follow-up so I know this was just a temporary set back. I hope you all love your oils and can forgive her this time, I know her personally and she takes her business very seriously. Janis
  4. where are these at? addy please they sound really nice. Janis
  5. I don't know anything about this show so I can't comment either way, but I will say the Chicago show is well run, very very nice and you'll have lots of fun and get lots of goodies. It is a great show. Janis Rogers
  6. We gals got to stick together, I must say I am so impressed at the level of help people on my forums are willing to share. I had a serious e-bay issue and alot of the gals (on another forum) told me what they would do and how to check it out, I did and found out it was a scam. It was for an item on e-bay that was for over $1000. I would have slit my wrists if I had fallen prey to that (well maybe not slit my wrists, but would have been seriously irritated), I thank God for all my great friends on these boards, they are invaluable. Janis
  7. yeah, dh got the same thing, called the lady, she sounded legit but she said she got my number from a big trade show in California, I live in Indiana, I never did a trade show in my life. She wanted soaps, butters, scrubs, power point presentations, etc, etc. I am not sending her a thing, I felt in my gut it was a scam and now I am sure of it. Geeze, this is twice in a week someone tried to scam me, first a scam from e-bay for $1000 and now this. Glad I didn't spend any time or money on it. Janis
  8. would you mind listing their name, my hubby got such a request from a spa in Florida, I think it sounded fishy. janis
  9. I love it, it is really really nice. I can't wait to see it complete. She did an awesome job. Janis Rogers
  10. it is good mixed with any fruit basically, sandalwood, most florals, etc. just use it as like 1/4th of the mix. It is great with yuzu, and really great with orange. Hopefully you'll be able to make something you can live with. Janis
  11. wow, that's alot of pressure I'm gonna try my best. With this kind of commitment I have to follow thru. Unfortunately software, and label making is not my strong point. I'll keep in touch. It will probably take many glasses of wine, strong language, and then finally calming down and actually reading the material hee hee, to come up with something that resembles an actual label. Janis
  12. You have one as well correct, what software do you use with yours. I know it comes with software but a couple of the reviews I read on the software was that it wasn't that good. Geeze, I'm not gonna know how to even configure the labels for this program to get them to print properly. Janis
  13. Well I bit the bullet and am buying one of these printers. I hope I like it. I need to have a more professional label so I know that this will be a learning curve with new software and such. Hopefully I won't loose my mind. Wish me luck. Janis Rogers
  14. My post office employees are for the most part really nice, but some govt. workers miss the boat on who they really work for. They work for the tax payers and I am one of the tax payers. They need to get off of it and remember they do not run us. OOH, that is so irritating. Janis
  15. tony's is also vey very nice, soaps good too. Janis
  16. alot of companies have employees that ship for them, I know the fines are like 35,000 and up for failure to follow the reg's if caught. I know being a manager it is not something I would trust my employees to do, that is probably why alot of suppliers just are saying no to using usps altogether, now if you get a supplier that does his/her own shipping then they will probably be more accomodating because they are handling the product themselves and know if they are following the rules properly. I can surely sympathize with those out of the country it is gonna be rough to get a decent price and you can only take so many mark-ups on your products. Hoping this works itself out. Janis
  17. yeah, if the labels she sells will work with the 400 that is what I would go with as well. I need to take the time and investigate this as well. I wonder if the gal from labels by the sheet could tell us. Janis
  18. Can you list the supplier, are you considering the lx400 or 800 printer?? janis
  19. Just looking for any feedback on this printer, I know it was discussed awhile back but wondering if anyone has had a chance to really use it and would you recommend it. What model does anyone here have. Thanks so much. Janis
  20. patchouli, pear, or black pepper. Janis
  21. it will harden up pop it in the fridge for a little while, once it hardens back up it will stay hard. Janis Rogers jansbathscents
  22. any more updates on this, I really want to get one of these printers, trying to resist. I wonder how long the cartridges last Janis Rogers
  23. I also use the eo, I use .50 ppwax and I use a htp1212 in my 8 oz. masons. You can start with a lower size wick and test but this is what I had to do. I think the eo is just as easy or easier to use than the fo and patch eo is not very expensive especially when you don't have to use that much. Flickers has a great honey patchouli that isn't such a pain in the neck and it is very nice. www.flickersfragrances.com Janis Rogers jansbathscents
  24. I would like to know too, I was just looking at this the other day but didn't think to ask any of you guys if you had tested it or seen it. Please update us on how it works for you. It looks great. Janis Rogers jansbathscents
