  2. the sultry angel is absolutely awesome in wax, a very good seller. janis
  3. Hi down at the bottom of the page will be little arrows and then little pictures that look like sheets of paper click on them and it will add new labels. Janis
  4. Do any of you offer your candles in boxes. My jars are 4" high and 3" in diameter and my customer wants them boxed but I can't find any quite right. I was wondering if any of you sold your candles in boxes??? Janis Rogers jansbathscents
  5. Hi, I have a request for tuberose and I only use soy. I tried southern soapers and it is lovely but no hot throw for me in my soy so now I am on the search for a tried and true tuberose if anyone knows of any. TIA, Janis Rogers
  6. Flickers - Hyacinth - strong - Clean Coton - Olive Blossom - French Lavender - Flowerbomb - yummy Millcreeks - Eucalyptus Mist Lemongrass - essential oils
  7. not a problem, and I always take the lid off the first candle in the row so people can sniff cause I got tired of them taking off the lids anyway and then they would fall on the ground or get put back wrong or get lost and truthfully 80+% of my customers buy by scent first and then read the name of that scent so I probably could not even put the scent on there because they are gonna smell them all and pick the one they like Janis
  8. I don't have any pics sorry, but I don't color my candles I use soy and I put them in 8 oz. square masons. I make my label with a navy blue border around it and insert my logo (logo has alot of blue in it). I print out the info, and the flavor, etc etc . The background of my label is kinda a real light sky blue like clouds it is hard to explain it kinda looks a little textured but other than that all my labels on my candles are the same for all scents. I use a rustic type lid. When I first switched from colored to non-colored I freaked too but you'll get used to it, I kinda like the uniform clean look now. janis
  9. I would keep digging and get to the bottom of it, I know I work for a very large company and there have been isolated incidences where "our" processing company processed the charges twice or the computer program did and after customers started calling in they checked into it and found a problem, needless to say it was all taken care of and explained to the banking institutions but whenever anything goes thru a computer, phone lines, etc then mistakes can be made and it always hurts the customer it seems but if something like that happened then you should not be charged for any overdraft fees, I would insist on a complete explanation and wouldnt stop until I got one. janis rogers
  10. Call Alabaster, I forget the managers name but he is really nice, that is where I always got my 8 oz. masons. I would call and he would check stock and I would send my brother to get them. I like using them because you get your choice of lids with the 8 oz. masons. If I end up going down there this fall I'll letcha know and if you need anything I'd be happy to bring them up, If we work together maybe we can save on some shipping. I know last year when I was doing the covered bridge I desperately ran out of jars and his daughter was coming back to Indy (college student) and she brought me 25 cases of jars in her car and dh paid her gas money, it worked out good for her and great for me. I wish I could think of his name but he's really nice. Be kinda careful if you drive down, I haven't been there but my brother has and the directions on the net aren't very good and you have to go thru a kinda bad area. janis
  11. thank god they didn't raise the prices on my jars YET, I've been ordering a few cases a week to qualify for the 6.95 shipping, sometimes I order 2 or 3 times a day and they just keep sending it, seems kinda ridiculous to me but hey if it works, the shipping is ridiculous. I used to drive to get my jars as well may have to go back to it. janis rogers Indiana
  12. Oh wow, that sounds really nice. did you soap it or put it to wax?? janis r
  13. frank & myhrr is a great seller from thanksgiving to christmas and even after for me and then I ususally do a cinnamon / cedar eo mix for the men and spiced plum or something like that. I did do apple jack and it sold very well the first 2 yrs. then died off. My pumpkin spice type soap sold well around thanksgiving. janis r
  14. Unfortunately they aren't making crate any longer. I e-mailed the owner and they have discontinued the crates, there's were so fabulous Now onto finding a new supplier. janis
  15. I would make up another batch and leave it unscented or maybe put just a dab of fo in it, then I would grind, shred, chunk this soap up and put in the new batch and it should be fine. If it is just newly made it will be easy to grind with a salad shooter or shredd with one of those hand shredders. Make your new batch of soap and put your shredds in there at light trace, stick blend the heck out of it and it will shredd those shredds up even smaller and incorporate it into the new batch of soap and it should be fine. That's what I would do, keep in mind you'll have an extra big batch but it should cure out just fine, maybe you can do a slight water discount on the "new" batch as well to kinda help it along in the curing process. janis rogers
  16. That is ingenius, I throw those containers away but no more I will save them. Thanks for sharing, it's the little things in life that are invaluable. Thanks so much. It is a great idea for the lye storage as well. How long do you keep your lye in here, have you had any problems with the spouts deteriorating (sp) from the lye. janis
  17. I love mine, I have 3 of them. I guess my only complaint is that when they are full (I have the quads) they are heavy heavy. They are made well and easy to use, definitely great quality as always janis rogers
  18. their ooey gooey carmel is wonderful, I mix some green apple from Tony's with it and make carmel apple it is very nice. I agree their sultry is great as well janis
  19. WEll today it is turning brown , but still smells fantastic. The price we pay but seriously the fragrance is outstanding. janis
  20. no it doesn't it is still the same as I made it 3 days ago, I colored it pink and it is still pretty pink I hope it stays nice and pink. Janis
  21. Oh my this is absolutely wonderful stuff I can't keep from smelling it , just wanted to let anyone that purchased this it soaps wonderful and it smells even better. I also soaped flickers olive blossom the same day, and had some flowerbomb and olive blossom left over so I put them in a sample mold and layered them this is absolutely a wonderful combo. I'm in scent heaven . Janis
  22. I have some mold like that but they are kinda bluish and I cant get the soap out for the life of me, I tried like 3 times and was almost in tears, I tried freezing, etc. What is the trick. I finally greased them up with mineral oil and that helped some but not very good, I loved the shape of the bars and how neat they looked just couldn't get the bars out. Janis
  23. no the spout isn't big enough to scoop out of, it is bigger than the 7 lb. containers but I'd say maybe 2.5 inches in diameter or so, I can't get my hand in the spout. Janis
  24. Janis this sounds wonderful. Do you make your carrot juice or buy it?? Does it color your soap at all when adding at trace? I buy my carrot juice but if I had a juicer I would make my own, Yes it will color your soap anywhere from a darkish yellow to an orange color. I make my pumpkin soap with some carrot juice and pumpkin and a bit of gm and it comes out looking like pumpkin. Janis
  25. I mix equal parts lye to water so if my recipe calls for 26 oz. of lye I mix that with 26 oz. of water, maybe 1 or 2 more oz. of water. That's about the limit on lye and water to get the lye to dissolve. Then I make the soap as usual and add the remaining amt. of called for water to the recipe at thin trace in the form of the carrot juice, hopefully that makes sense. That's how I do it, I'm sure if you froze your carrot juice and used really cold water you could add the lye to the water/carrot juice mixture but I haven't done it that way. Hope it helps some. Janis
