  7. 1260 all the way. That's the only wax I've ever used for 'canes here in Canada and it seems to work all right. As for mold release, I can't say that I've ever needed it. I pour all 'canes at 195 degrees and when they are cold, out they come.
  8. Been there, done that. That's what they call, "learning the hard way", good luck next time
  9. The QUEEN has spoken. Hear ye, Hear ye, Donita, thank you so much for everything you offer and do for myself and every one else on this site. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Cliff & Vicky

  11. Damn damn double damn, how come you can use decals AND THEY WORK? I originally thought decals would be the end all for canes. I was wrong, I can't make them work worth a damn. Great lookin candle.
  12. Sure do like the blue ones there Ducky.
  13. WOW. You sure got it together there girl. Must be something you Ozzie gals eat down under. I keep seeing pix of some prtty spiffy candle comming from there. Yours is definitely a winner. Keep up the great work and PLEASE, keep the pix comming, we love 'em
  14. Hey Tea, congrats on that one for sure. You can only go unward and upward from there. I haven't tried those yet but if my first one looks as good as yours I'll be real happy. Great stuff.

  17. Being a guy, ya gotta love the dark colors. Keep them dark ones comming.
  18. tacky tacky tacky wax. NOW I know the rest of the story. Nobody told me about tacky wax, I've been secretly trying this with silk flowers (don't have any dried) and I've just been tryin and scrappin till I gave up. NOW, I'm gonna get me some tacky wax and start all over again. But not till I get these damn hurricanes down to my liking.
  19. Stylist....A little thingy with a little ball on each end, one being smaller than the other. It is made for artists (in my case would be artist) to dab little dots on folk art projects, such as in the case of in the middle of little flowers and stuff.
  20. Hey Mozz. sure do like your celtic. WOW you done good stuff. Like the TV show here in Canada says "HOW'D YA DO THAT?"
  21. You and I just gotta meet up, ya sound like my kinda woman, (a laugh a minute). Seriously, keep plugging away, you'll get it. Remember, there's only one Donita and a lot of would be's (including myself) but what the H___ we all strive for excellence.
  22. for first time I would say they are fantasic, you can only go onward and upward from here.
  23. Very nicely done. You sure have been busy, keep them pix comming, we love them
  24. try poking relief holes (about 4 of them ) around the wick, say 3/4 of an inch out.I do this as soon as the wax starts to harden and then 3 or 4 times while it's setting up. No more cave in (at least not so much) you still have to repour.
