  1. Insist on letters written on your behalf by whoever caused this to the people that are thinking it is YOU that is the deadbeat!
  2. Starrville has the High Maintance. I love it. One of my favorites.
  3. I just HATE this nonsense. It is insulting to say the least. I wish I knew how to make a real "lasting" skunk stinker to send her.
  4. It is a WHOLESALE account. I can certainly understand the retailer not wanting to reveal your contact information. Seems logical to me. I would have simply offered to replace any and all candles that were returned to the retailer by unhappy customers. Of course the partially used candles must be given to you when you replaced them. You can test the product that was returned to determine if there truly is a challenge with the product or if indeed it is a cranky customer. If I remember correctly, you did say this is a four year relationship.I would try and make it is easy as possible for the account. IF it becomes too burdensome, I would severe the ties and move on.
  5. I really like the candle with the circles cut out! Cool!
  6. I could be wrong...and I am too lazy to look right now but i THINK it is Natures Garden....or Nature "somthing" that has a layout that is suppose to be ideal. Where is that thing? I KNOW I have seen it.
  7. Excellent job! I am headed your way tomorrow and will be there a week. I will try to locate you and drop in for some shopping:cheesy2:
  8. Candles or Soap? Fragrances to smell or Fragrances for body products? To burn AND wear: Any of the "woods" are good. Smokey scents Amber Tobacco as a blend Sandalwood Patchouli (some love this, some do not...but most everyone does if it is used in a blend) Vanilla is a good "smoother" for some of the "harsher" fragrances without giving it a feminine smell. Steer clear of the florals..unless you sneak them in the mid/heart notes. Vetiver Citrus is a good LIGHT top note but be careful, it CAN smell cheap if it isn't grounded IMHO I personally do not want to smell food that is not available for consumption. Just doesn't make sense to me. And I don't know that many guys that want to smell like Blueberry Huff Puff or a Stango Mango Lush Pop Fizz Berry.
  9. I received my Backwoods order today! Nice...very nice. I was at the Galleria yesterday and remembered to stop by men's fragrances and pick up some Blue Sugar. I guess what I like about Aqualina is that their fragrances are unique and without a doubt, recognizable. Not sure they are my cup of tea to wear frequently but Blue Sugar IS an "every once in awhile" fragrance and is fun and interesting. Of course when I received my Blue Sugar from Backwoods (I started to just type BS and changed my mind..I like Connie too much for that after I read it LOL) I was excited to compare. Anyway...I sprayed the real deal on one hand....and rubbed some of the Backwoods FO on the other..waited awhile...and my assessment of the dupe is it is close...very close. I asked my friend what she thought and she said DEAD ON. SO...I think that Blue Sugar will be like Pink Sugar.....there will be those that love it and those that don't care for it but thank goodness it is NEW...and different...and unique...and fresh...and certainly a contemporary product associated with 2007 NOT 1999!! So, I think it is a keeper if it performs well in wax...and without a doubt could be very workable as a unisex fragrance in B&B. Good job Backwoods!
  10. Biscotti Vanilla Grapefruit Sage and Citrus Hibiscus and Thai Palm Leha Leha Hinokiwood and Cypress Goddess Pomegrante and Anise Peppercorn Sandalwood Vanilla Log Cabin Angel These are just a few of my favorites. BCN has such a wide selection and variety, I can only imagine if you are hearing something negitive, it has to be from someone who hasn't tried THESE for sure, and LOTS more!!
  11. I actually use to buy Urea for custom blended permanent waves in the 80's! What a flashback!
  12. Well it looks like you rose to the occasion!! Quick AND nice! What else could anyone want?!!
  13. I agree. I really can't imagine owning a store and carrying a product that someone has a website address where they actually sell the same products. It just doesn't pass the giggle test to me. I am not sure if it is a state issue or what, but I was told by my attorney when I set up the corporation that HAD to have:(somewhere on the candle) Manufactured by ____________ Dallas, Texas
  14. I maintain a backstock of everything I make.(Except for the carved candles which are usually always made with color choices the customer chooses) For me, it is just less stressful this way and I do believe that there is alot to be said for "cure" time. I decided early on not to offer lots of fragrances. I have 11 in one line and 4 in the other. When I want to add a fragrance, I drop a fragrance. Keeping life simple here:grin2:
  15. You are in for a real treat. Once you try the handcrafted soaps, you will HATE commercial soap!!
  16. Mine are ordered. Blue, Grace and Pink Pepper Every single fragrance I have tried from Backwoods has been good.......and by that I mean a good quality...good throw. Could be because they actually make candles and are selective about what they add to the aresonal? I appreciate that they are picky about the fragrances they choose to carry.
  17. I am a little confused...which is par for the course with me. Does your double wicking actually reduce your burn time that much??? You are saying that your 5oz candle gets 30-35 hours and your 10oz candle gets 20-25 hours. Typically I do not double wick. I have, but was playing around and didn't measure the burn rate. Is this correct?
  18. I prefer the Perfumer's Alcohol. I am just not that fond of the way Cyclo feels on the skin.
  19. I learned the hard way a long time ago. Wicks are NOT a universal supply!!! I would suggest you order from the same place if you have already tested. If not, buy them from where you want to continue purchasing them. Very good question. Wish I had asked it before I made this mistake.
  20. Bitter Creek's Message Board has a demo, complete with photos and step by step instructions.
