  1. This has just been a horrible year. I love the melting pot jars!
  2. No, I haven't tried the 6006 yet. I think I'm going to work my way up and get a sample from CS the next time I order my 6036. The 6036 is so easy I feel I need to test something else for a challenge. I'll post how the ecos work with this wax.
  3. I like it. After all of my endless testing with soy I was shocked at how easy the 6036 was. I've had smooth pours, no cracking and no frosting each and every time. I've been using CDN wicks and I'm testing Ecos with it today just out of curiousity. I've been getting some large flames and minor sooting and I've tried wicking up and down. I've only used the 7% FO and the HT and CT are good. It's almost like using the CBA but with a consistent and much better HT. (and that's with no cure time) I think it might be a keeper for me.
  4. I've been working with it for about a month now and I'm wondering if anyone else has. I only found 3 threads on it when I did a search and nothing about testing it. It's a 50/50 from IGI. It's my first parasoy blend and so far I am happy with it. Good HT and it is very consistent to work with. Great creamy appearance and holds color well with no frosting. Anyone else?
  5. the scented bean. http://www.scentedbean.com/cart/agora.cgi
  6. I don't cure mine as much as I just let them sit to see what happens. Some FO's and ingredients like honey can change the color and appearance of my soaps after they have been sitting for a while. They can be used right away but I don't like to try a new recipe and selling it before I know what kind of changes are going to happen.
  7. I got my first presto pot for my birthday and I love it. My husband bought it with the spigot already in it from Ebay. (He is lazy like that! ) Love it!
  8. Has anyone found a close dupe to the original Sage and Citrus from yankee? I have ordered from 3 different companies and they all smell very different. I can't tell if it's supposed to be more sweet floral or a tangy citrusy scent?
  9. In the past year I have rarely used my CC online. I prefer to use paypal. It's just easier than having to go dig out my CC and then worry about my account number being stolen. Paypal simply adds another step of protection when you are the buyer. The only issues we have had is as a seller. The reversals and holding money during disputes is a PITA but a necessary evil I suppose. Other than that we have had no issues with using just paypal on my husbands website.
  10. I'm with mzbizzyb, nothing. I may be in way too much credit card debt now but I've loved every minute of it!
  11. Ok just out of curioustity I remelted it down with more base and repoured into molds. Strangely they have a slight hint of green to them but they never hardened. They were like white/green jello. Seriously, they even jiggled! So I will chalk this one up to a strange mystery. I am out of aloe M&P so I will have to reorder and do it again to see what happens.
  12. Sadly, they were the same batch! I poured into three molds then I poured the leftover of the same batch into another set of molds and it was clear and watery. It was a twilight zone moment for me.
  13. No they were dried and crushed.
  14. Thanks! I will remelt it down with more base just to see what happens.
  15. I think I read in a previous thread that they are not. Someone did a side by side test and found that one burned hotter than the other. I don't remember the thread or who said it, sorry!
  16. I was very happy with the Sex on the Beach that I just got. Creme Brulee and Apples and maple bourbon are I've been using and I love them. I just love getting new scents.
  17. I have no idea what happened! I was making soap with aloe glycerin base over a double boiler. I added some vitamin E, green dye, peppermint, and eucalyptus EO and poured 3 bars. I added mint leaves to those bars then stirred what was left in the pot and poured into molds this time it came out clear and watery. Those bars turned opaque white and mushy! I've never seen it separate like this so I was kinda shocked. I stirred constantly and it was only in the pot an extra few minutes before I poured it. Has this happened to anyone else? Any suggestions? The first three bars came out beautiful and hard.
  18. I think if you can get away with flat rate for most things, that would be your best bet. When you get into other weights and sizes the costs vary considerably country to country. Only problem we have with Canada is when we send UPS. The customer has to pay "brokerage fees" on top of taxes and duties. It is a considerable cost to them. We also get a lot of people who ask us to lie on customs forms so they can avoid taxes and because we deal in expensive antiques that are insured at our cost, we won't do it.
  19. Their vanilla bourbon is one of my favorites! It throws well in soy.
  20. Candle science has it and there samples are only .99 right now.
  21. I use the apothecary and melting pot jars from The Jar store. In fact, I ordered some today and had some questions and called them. So I would just like to throw a shout out to their customer service. They were great! They have a lot of great and unique jars. I don't have pics but you can go to the website to see them. http://thejarstore.overcoffee.com/
  22. I do all of the shipping for my husband business. Because of the different sizes and weights I use the USPS website to set up the decide the shipping charges to each individual country. If you go the USPS Index of countries and localities it breaks it down by country, then has weight charts and restrictions. I don't know how your website works but if you need an idea of what the charges are, it will give you a good starting point. You would not belive how much each country can differ in rates. I hope this helps.
