  1. I tried it. Couldn't seem to get much throw. It could have been the supplier, not sure, but I didn't want spend the money to keep testing and testing. Maybe someone has had luck with this?
  2. Toni, I've been dye free for a while now. It pleases my customers because they can incorporate the creamy colored candle with all decors. It's also one less variable to test. I recommend a uv stabilizer though because you will get less crystilazation and less fading. It will make a difference with the "dingy, dirty" stuff purebliss is talking about. BTW, you may notice a slight wicking change. I've wicked down on most fo's
  3. Care to let anyone in on that? My mom LOVES rose scents and it would be cool to do a new one for her BD in June.
  4. Tootie, I guess you and I are the only ones that noticed that. RMShelton, I think that's too much fo. Generally 1.5oz pp is max. You mentioned that you are using 2oz for less than a pound. Try backing off the fo a bit; maybe go down to 1oz pp to start with. I think you'll see you will have better hot throw. HTH you out a little.
  5. I'll be testing my new scents from the Candlescience .99 sale!!!
  6. You're using 2oz of fo for 15oz of wax? That's a lot! I'm surprised you get a hot throw. As for the cavities, I've not had one with CB135. The only additive I use though is a stabilizer.
  7. 2 you might try are both from Bitter Creek. One is Vanilla Velvet and the other is Vanilla Bean Supreme. I also love Vanilla, but can't stand the sweet ones. These are pretty pure. HTH
  8. I know Candlewic has the CD3's. And I believe that Taylored Concepts also carries them. HTH
  9. Has anyone heard of the fungus or mold or whatever that is, that they are looking into? Apparently this grows anywhere, like in a desert or in a moist and humid place. They can turn this into gasoline somehow . Anyway I'm sure if they figure this out the price of fungus will go sky high.
  10. I feel your pain, Holly. My CB went up 20.00 a case, not to mention my jars went up .40 a piece. This may become a hobby for me. It's still cheaper to make these for myself, but I may have to give my biz. I live out in the middle of nowhere and shipping is a MAJOR factor as well.
  11. I normally us CD's in all my containers, but for my tealights I use htp 31. But you are correct if you use the CD's it's a 3. HTH.
  12. Huh?? I thought soy waxes didn't need a second pour.
  13. It's Vanilla Bean Supreme. But I think it's actually at BCN, not south.
  14. Really, I have better luck w/just my hair dryer. My heat gun seem to be too hot.
  15. Trappeur........you make me sick!!, lol! You must be the test queen. I have a day job and can only test a scent/wick or two at a time. It takes me forever to test . You have done more testing and have got more results in such a little amt of time. I want to be like Trappeur when I grow up!!
  16. I actually use frosted glass, but it is real hard to find anymore. My supplier quit carrying them....grrrrrr. Someone here posted that you can buy rust-oleum frosted glass (or something like that) and frost your own. Seemed to be a pretty useful product. I'm going to try some. I don't know that it comes in brown though. Sorry
  17. Hey Trapp, I use "soapdish", but I don't post that often over there, just seen you around. Let me know if you get that apoth wicked.
  18. Juggy, I think this is quite normal. Are your wicks 6mm tabs? With the longer necks I seem to less mp at the bottom. With the 3mm a bigger mp. HTH
  19. Hey Trapp, what are you doing over here? Good luck at single wicking that jar, girl. I don't do anything quite that large and still have to double wick any apoth I do over 16oz.
  20. I use CB 135. Bittercreek (both north and south) carry it. I also get it from Gelluminations, who by the way, has it on sale now for either 15 or 20% off. I just ordered a case. HTH
  21. Gotta go w/BCS also. mmmmmmmmmmm!!!
  22. Dee, Just saw these somewhere else! . They are so lovely! Give him a big congrats!
  23. Can't imagine that price Kim. I'm just wondering who will be switching to paraffin after this. I sure like the idea of supporting the farmers and a more natural product, but sheesh! This could be a killer.
