I am making the switch to CSN's from CD's and I can tell you that there seems to be no correlation in size between my CD wicks from wholesale supplies and the CSN wicks from candle science. The CD wicks are huge in comparison. I am using a CSN 14 or 16 for 6oz tins!! I have a CSN 22 in a tumbler with a 3 1/8" opening right now, but it is a torch! I will be trying the CDN's from JBN because candlescience doesn't offer anything bewteen a 16 and a 22. The problem is I don't know what to get from JBN because I don't know how there wicks compare.

I thought I had this soy thing down!! Nice smooth tops, good scent throw, and no frosting (so I thought). So I started selling my candles. I have some that have been sitting in my house for a month and when I opened up the tin, there it was a white ring around the edge of my wax. AAHH!!! I use cb135, no additives, 6-7% fragrance, no dye. The stuff looks like old chocolate now. How do you stop this?? I have read this forum and others and don't know what to do to give the candles shelf life. I am not willing to add paraffin so that one is out. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I had to share this result that completely surprised me. I bought the swans coconut wax and decided to make a "massage candle" (I know how many feel this isn't the point). I added apricot oil, almond oil, shea butter and cocoa butter and only 3% skin safe fragrance oil. Wicked with an HTP in a 6oz tin. The hot throw is AMAZING!!! Shocking to say the least. My whole house smells of vanilla. I have a 1500sqft house. I have never gotten a result this good from my ecosoya 135 with any combination I have done. I am now second guessing my methods entirely. I can't put these expensive oils in my candles, but I'm rethinking it now. BTW smooth top, no frosting. AAHH!!

I love this wax and am thinking about buying it in bulk. Does anyone else use this wax here. There are no distributors anywhere close. If some one knows of some one let me know or just respond if you use CB 135? Thanks

I have tried hot glue, wick sticks and silicone. I now use e6000 industrial adhesive. I have used this stuff for years in my jewelry making and just thought to use it to stick my wicks down. It is perfect! It is clear and rubbery. It doesn't lift when burning, but can be popped off after the candle is done ( I reuse my containers and urge my customers to do the same). It does smell a bit, but has not affected my scents at all. Hope this helps!!

I contacted swans and they were great. I got a new box of accu 10 and it is terrific. This wax makes very pretty candles. Scent throw was good on three day cure. They said to make sure to pour hot, 170, or the candles might crack. The wax is made to be poured at these high temps. I got the coconut wax and have been playing with it. I will post results later. To all those in Socal. Give these guys a try. They match prices from pretty much anywhere.

I do have the pastille version. This is the fourth soy wax I have worked with and non of the others have had this issue. In fact some of the wax was greenish black almost like a mold. I will call swans. I'm close by and can just get some more. I'm glad to hear this is not a usual issue with their wax. Thanks everybody!!

I just made my first candles with the accu soy 10 wax. I compared them to my ecosoya pure and they all have a weird smell. In fact the wax in the box smells weird, not bad, but just like an old oil. i wonder if I got a bad batch. The wax is really greasy and clumpy in the box too, which I am not use to. I really want to make this wax work since I can't keep paying the crazy shipping and wax costs to get ecosoya to California. Has anyone else noticed an odd smell??

Just went out to Swans today. They were very helpful.. I hope the Accu-soy 10 is as good as ecosoya pure. I just can't keep paying those shipping costs. Any hints about the accu 10 wax? I am switching over and have to make this wax work. Thanks!!

Has anyone had problems shipping soy candles during summer months?? My wax melts at a pretty low temp and I am concerned it will melt during the shipping process. I am just starting to ship and want to avoid problems this summer. Any suggestions or experience would help. Thanks!!

Does Brambleberry have a candle version of the black amber and lavender? I only saw it in there soap fragrance section. Does it work in soy?

Does anyone know of a supplier for wax, scent, etc in california? I'm getting killed on shipping and don't like the selection at GeneralWax.

I have been trying to figure out where candle wealth gets there fragrances. They smell so good. Does anyone one happen to know where they get them? They are an MLM so they can't be manufacturing their own. I tried Lone Star, they were awful. They all had this chemical smell. I have also tried Save on scents. They were even worse. I do not want to keep paying the ridiculous prices candle wealth charges for their scents. Thanks!!

I use no color. I like the way the wax looks naturally. The fragrance works in the NVSoy. I use the candle wealth wicks. They are a braided cotton, no core. I assumed since the candle burned evenly and had a great melt pool that the wick wasn't the issue. Have you found certain fragrances just don't work in pure soy? my old wax is a blend of soy, palm and a bit of coconut oil I believe. Are you adding anything to the es pure?
