  1. never mind.....sorry...I changed my wording in the search and finally got a result............saw this question was answered not very long ago.........sorry
  2. How can you tell when your fo is getting to old to use? I have some oils that are atleast 2 yrs old and they still seem to smell fine and burn the same. But i thought I read on here that they are no good after 1yr? What are your experiences?
  3. okay, see now I am testing without the air conditioner running and the oils "seem" to be much stronger!
  4. using gb464 .Sometimes when I am pouring a candle and I get it on my hands, i will stop and rub it on my knees or elbows (as long as its not cinnamon). I was considering adding 10 to 15% paraffin to my candles to increase scent throw and "stablize" them. JUst wondering if it would now be a bad ideal to rub it on my skin? Any difference?
  5. cd-10 for most oils in the 8oz jj. Some people do cd-8's which is great, but I haven't had that work for me too well.............cd-12 is useable, but it makes a really deep melt pool for the jj. From everything I've heard, the cdn is even better to use in soy, so if you have samples of that i would try that first! now if you could just tell me the best oils for gb464.....................lol
  6. lol. well good grief , i tried! Well thanks all for the review! So I guess the final say is that it is somewhere between an orange spice and a lemon cleaner
  7. well jenny, what was your opinion? honeybear, did you get your sample yet?
  8. Well its driving me insane! I have tested scents in the last 3 wks and nothing can I smell for very long.........its like it gets swept away! getting a ladder and sniffing the ceiling area now......................lol!
  9. your right, i moved it to another room with the door closed and it stronger!. opened the door and "swoosh" in minutes it was gone! I think central air would not be as hard on my testing b/c the air circulates? I have window units so its an interaction with the outside air, right? The blueberry muffin smells divine! Cant wait to try some of the others..................Life makes me wanna cry right now, so hectic in a redneck way. A garden to harvest and can, a remodeled house to finish, upholstery jobs lined up......aarrggh and music school for my kids starts Monday! WHERE am I gonna squeeze in testing? Gotta idea.............take some to the music school..........:tiptoe:
  10. ooohhh mzpickles idea sounds divine:cheesy2:
  11. Bluegrass use to carry one that was very strong and a best seller for me. i still get requests...........but the last time i checked it wasn't here
  12. I have burned the Blueberry Muffin several times, it smell really good, but is not really strong. HOWEVER, NOTHING I am testing right now appears to be strong...........I am wondering, if my window unit air conditioner is sucking the life out of everything! ? Blueberry anything from anywhere is ALWAYS strong, so I find it hard to believe that it is this oil...................Plus the fact that NOTHING I am testing appears strong right now:confused:
  13. nmhoneybear, I am mailing your sample today. I am double packing it, in ZIPLOC baggies, this time! Should work better. Jenny, how is your sinus infection? any better yet? Eccolights, Jane42...........how about it guys? Tried it yet?
  14. I use to make them and sold for $4, but they didn't sell very well. I also made a 16oz which I sold for $10 and a 8oz for $6. So the 16oz was the best deal. But the only one that ever sold was the 8oz, so I dropped everything but that one size and do a 2oz melt and wow so much easier to deal with..................
  15. okay jenny, hope you are better soon. The humidity here in the south is just unreal right now. A bacteria haven. Thank you NoOneSpecial.....
  16. sending you another one honeybear........jenny, jane42, no one special, ecco lights.........you other guys tried it yet? How about you Sharon? Had a chance yet?
  17. even though i hate this scent.........sweet patchouli from bluegrass
  18. Thank you guys (girls) so much for reviewing this for me!!!!! I'm glad so far it has no "hates"! But if anyone does, thats okay cause I want honest opinions! Can't wait until the rest of you try try it out....................
  19. thank you tmarcusen for your review! (I TOLD my mom adding extra lime made me think of cleaner! lol!) Anyone else tested it yet?
  20. sorry bout the note from the postman:embarasse! spiced orange? thats funny cause it has no orange in it whatsoever! lol! lemons, grapefruits, limes, even coconuts, but no orange.......cant wait to here your verdicts after u melt it........
  21. Their blackberry pie is strong in soy wax, mulled cider is very popular, fresh linen is strong, vanilla bean is horrible in soy, birthday cake, frangelico steusel, gingerbread cookie all smell really good and are medium strength in my soy. I use 1.25oz per lb on all their oils. Their peach magnolia rasberry is a hot seller, but I didn't do good with this scent in my wax. I didn't like the scent either. They had a peppermint christmas scent that I mixed with cinnamon and it was awesome! Still one of my favs. But i haven't seen it listed anymore. They may have changed the name........? Of all the scents I have tried the fresh linen has been the strongest. Blackberry pie and mulled cider are the most requested from my friends and family.
  22. One thing about this that is really neat, that I didn't do on purpose..............as I looked over my list of addresses that I sent the samples to, I noticed that all 10 samples went to 10 different states! I love that cause it means 10 different lifestyles, locations, temperatures, etc. I think i will definately get a good rounded out opinion!
  23. Once you melt it, please tell your opinion of the scent.......don't be afraid to hurt my feelings. 1. is it original, is there something out there just like it? 2. is it strong enough to be enjoyable? 3.IS the scent pleasant to you? 4. Does it's name "match" the scent?
  24. well all ya, I mailed them.....but...........I made some mistakes:sad2: First thing that happened was the heat and humidity here in GA is so high that the tarts wouldn't harden properly. I use my container wax, 464, for my melts, (I pour them in 2 oz cups). This wax is very soft, even when hardended, but not normally a problem for me cause of being in the cups with lids. However when I cut them in half and put in a plastic baggy, then mashed flat, they crumbled very badly. I thought oh well, its the smell, they can rake it all out of baggy when melting. I rush to get to post office before it closes, they wont let me mail with a stamp even though I halved the melts and put in envelopes. No biggie, I pay the extra. After I leave the post office , I realize that I put the samples in SANDWICHES bags and I was suppose to put them in ZIPLOC bags! Oh no! Sigh, ya they prolly gonna leak..........soft wax+high heat= GOOEY , MAYBE EVEN LIQUID MESS. I'm sorry, you can tell I've never done this before. I called my friend who works for a post office and she said even if it started leaking they would PROBABLY still deliver it, once they determined it was nonhazardous. So sorry about this, remember it was FREE! lol!:rolleyes2
