  1. Pearamel - balance of pear and caramel. very nice Sparkling Clean Pumpkin Apple butter Lavender Apple - French Lavender - I can't remember why but I did not like this one, my daughter just said it was because it smelled like BO. Fruit & Fun - to me this smelled like very strong fruit stripes gum Crisp & Candied - very strong spiced, fruity smell Black Berry Fizz - very good blackberry and you can kinda smell fizz...sounds funny I know! Bananza - a banana coconut smell Baby Clean Aphrodisiac - YUCK!!! I can NOT even describe this stink. Even the lady at the desk hates it and can't understand why anyone would want to smell it. I have not put any of these in wax... just smelled them. I wrote "not sure" on the lavender apple, sorry I didn't write a better description. HTH
  2. I just got off the phone with Gary.... they do not have a catalog or pdf file with available products. He suggests calling and letting them know what you are looking for and they will see if they have it or carry something similar. They really are a great company to deal with. I am very happy. When I place an order I can go pick it up the next day. I can't express how thrilled I am to have found the Metro Jar with them. It is a very nice size (11oz) and very nice heavy glass. Very elegant looking. Makes a beautiful candle!! Have a great one everyone and give Gary a call!! You won't be sorry!
  3. EZ soy is also 415... there are a few threads that have info about blending 415 with CBA. I tried it a while ago.... I was doing it 50/50. I had some frosting issues still but I came to believe it was the dryness in my house at the time. A friend tried the exact same blend (with my actual wax shipped to her) and got perfect results. Go for it. I think you will like it. I personally would try to get a blend with the least amount of CBA as possible while still getting great results just for $$$$ reasons. I ended up with a 415/J223 blend. I got the J223 as low as I could and still keep the frost fairy away. 415 is WAY cheaper than J223. HTH Danielle
  4. OH DOUBLE thank you Angella...... I can pick that up locally!!
  5. Thanks Scented!! The shipping from Soapers Choice is pretty reasonable!!
  6. Not sure... I can play with it and find out. The regular black cherry I have that smells like cat pee is from CS. I was kinda shocked. I have a few different vanilla's to try. It might just work. Thanks for the suggestion!!
  7. I googled it and found 2 places. One is from VitaCost.com they sell it in 4oz containers for $3.09. The second is From Nature With Love.com in a 16oz container for $12.00. Is there a better place to get it? Maybe from an actual soaping supply so other things can be purchased also?? TIA Danielle:grin2:
  8. Oh I LOVE that one too!! Not even close to parylite though. If I ever find it.... I am hoarding it for myself!! LOL
  9. This is my all time favorite scent. I was wondering if anyone has come across a dupe of it. I have one Black Cherry that smells like cat pee.... it is gross!! Nothing like the sweet soft smell of Patylites Black Cherry. TIA Danielle
  10. You also can order them from Wicks Unlimited and Candlewic. Candlewic has a sale going through today for 50% off custom wicks, just enter promo code "maycustom" at checkout. HTH
  11. I made a bunch of tea lights to test wicks. I used J223 and 1oz pp of Grammy's Strawberry Jam (BW). I used TL18, 21, 25, 28 and CD2 & 3. The strange thing is....the 18 is sucking up the wax the fastest. The 25 is burning the slowest. Not the results I was expecting. I am trying to decide what size to order and these results have me stumped. If anyone can shed some light I'd appreciate it. TIA Danielle
  12. Ever Glow.... I am not sure, but plan on asking Gary when he calls. I would also like to see all they carry. If I wouldn't have mentioned Metro jars I would not have known they carry them. I will post again when I find out.
  13. You can pick up in Cleveland if you order over $100. I can handle that. Hit Fairway, WSP and Oils by Nature in one trip. Totally worth it!!
  14. FYI... they carry more than is on their site. I made mention of wanting Metro Jars.... they have the 11oz size. My samples are on the way!! I am too excited!! I can pick up locally so it will save $$$$$. I asked about lids for tumblers also. Gary will be calling me soon to discuss what all is available through them. Man if CS would relocate to Ohio I'd have it made!! LOL Have a great one Danielle
  15. That is what I think!! From what I have heard there are only a few manufacturers of pure soy....companies sell it under their own name. HTH
  16. Dee, I have a box in my kitchen.... in big black letters it says "Plain 415 flakes kosher". HTH
  17. Groovy Chic, Two small wicks rock! I have been trying this. I was hoping to single wick but it looks like double is the way to go. I have used 2 CD6's and 8's with great results!!! Thanks for all the replies and help!! Danielle
  18. Thank You for all the replies..... I will be making tealights this next week, I can't wait!!
  19. Crafty.... can I ask what kind of wicks you use with it. I have some of CS's TL wicks and a few CD3. TIA
  20. SLM, I test the same way. When I think I finally found the wick I want, I then pour one more tester with the wick already placed. This way you can do a true test from top to bottom. When you use the skewer the wick will fall over when it no longer has solid wax to support it. As you find the right wick for your wax you might be able to skip the skewer step. I pretty much know what wicks I like with my wax so it is now what size per FO. Sounds like you have done a good amount of reading.... you are on the right track. Happy Testing Danielle
  21. Fruity Loops is beyond strong and smells just like the cereal!!
  22. I am just trying and testing a new blend. 415/J223 about a 70/30 blend. The mix made beautiful, perfect looking candles. I was shocked. I wicked with CDN20, CD18, CSN16, HTP126, ECO14 and LX24. After 3 1/2 hours in my 3.5 inch apothecary jars the... ECO seems too small but is burning very steady. HTP might be a bit small but also stready. CSN bit small but jumpy flame. LX nice MP at this time, not quite to edge yet but looks good, the flame is a bit jumpy CD18 nice MP almost to edge, even, but also a jumpy flame. CDN 20 largest MP at this time also a large jumpy flame. (largest) the CDN I think can go down to a 18 (which I don't have right now) After all that, my basic question is... why the jumpy flame. They are all in the same spot as I am testing wicks right now, so if there was a draft it should affect all. Not all of the jumpy ones seem too big. Can anyone shed some light on this situation? I know they will burn differently as they get into the jar more. I seem to be forgetting the basics!! Please help TIA Danielle
  23. I found nothing in a search..... I can't seem to get it to work for me lately, so here is my question.... I use a 70/30 soy/paraffin blend and am wondering what results people have had using CS cucumber melon with this type of wax?? TIA Danielle
  24. I did a search but couldn't find any info on these waxes and tealights. I have both of these waxes and was wondering which would be better to make up as tealights. I only want to make a few for now to use under a melt warmer. Also what wicks would be good. I have never used these waxes alone. I always make a soy/para blend. Any help would be great. I also have Ecosoya PB if you think that would make a better tealight in terms of throw. TIA
