  1. That's why I didn't know what it is. I use Mal's. Very happy with his service and if there's a problem, Mal himself gets back to you and very timely as well.
  2. yeeeeeup! Website and farmers markets, what ever. I call them in.
  3. No. 31% of coconut is not enough to be a drying soap, especially since 64% is olive. Olive is super moisturizing. You'll get a bar that is moisturizing and lathers well.
  4. I bank at a local bank and use merchant services through them. I get charged 3.7% per transaction. Period. No other fees. You may want to check with your bank or other banks to see what they offer. If you go with another bank, you'll have to have a business account with them. No biggie.
  5. My thoughts are, if you're going to do herbal candles, why use paraffin? The two just don't go together in my book. I make all beeswax tapers scented with EOs.
  6. Ginger is warming, as is cinnamon and cayenne. I'm taking EOs. A very very very very very little is all that's needed and be careful around the eyes!
  7. Thanks! I don't have just soaps, I have herbal medicine products as well. It takes me about 2 hours to set up. Lots of work! I wildcraft my herbs...meaning I go up in the mountains, in farm areas, the beach, where ever the wild plants grow and use them in my formulas. If I have to buy herbs because they don't grow here and I want them in a certain product, I have an organic farmer grow them for me.
  8. mms was 3 bucks a pound. That's cheaper than anywhere else I've found.
  9. I have a recipe for using oil instead of witch hazel. It takes a couple of days, but they get rock hard!
  10. By the way...Meridith, it's you! We haven't talked for awhile. I hope all is well. :smiley2:
  11. I looked for it at a few stores..Wal-Mart, feed stores, hardware stores, Fred Meyer, no one had it. The price I got it for is very good even with shipping.
  12. I just ordered 10 pounds and even with shipping, it's still cheaper by far than essential. I'm thrilled, thank you so much for directing me to them.
  13. Thanks! Their prices are much more reasonable.
  14. Essential is $8 a pound. That seems really high to me. I'm up in Washington State and am looking for cheaper citric acid near me because of shipping charges. Anyone have any ideas?
  15. It's kept a roof over my head through death, divorce, remarriage, new DH on medical leave, new DH back to work, new DH laid off and everything in between!
  16. Thyank you all so much. Even though I was nervous, it was still a lot of fun and a great opportunity for my business.
  17. Thank you so much, everyone! I hope the exposure brings in customers!!
  18. I wasn't sure where to put this. Mods move it to where ever. Anyhoot, this is me, Wildcrafter, at one of my farmers markets. I was so nervous, I was shaking! http://www.kvos.com/content/experiencenorthwest/story/The-Bellingham-Farmers-Market-Good-Natured/5RbeCr13kESwp1FEaTR_aQ.cspx
  19. Where are my manners! By the way, those bars are beautiful! I got to thinking and just blurted out about the molds. How rude of me. I blame menopause!
  20. Does anyone else make a mold like that, perhaps more cavities, that can go in an oven? I do my salt bars in a 25 inch long log mold and I tell you, cutting them gets iffy sometimes as they want to crumble. I like the idea of not having to cut them. Thanks!
  21. My Comfrey Calendula Salve works very well. Lots of repeat customers.
  22. My Comfrey Calendula Salve works a wonder on eczema and psoriasis.
