1. Scented: Thanks for your thoughts...as I mentioned we are still tweaking, and have thought about making the label smaller in width as you pointed out. It would mean extra work involved in having to print on a full sheet then cutting each label as there are no label sizes available retail that are 3" wide as opposed to the 4" now being used. Will have to consider the extra time involved....but definatley something to think about.
2. Still have some tweaking to do, however this is our new label. We're following through using our logo artwork originally painted by my father.
3. Nature's Garden has a strong Leather Jacket...a best seller for us.
4. You might want to try Wildberry from Candlewic. Very berry FO with no vanilla notes at all. IMHO
5. If you're like me, I much prefer to design my own...using Front Page...we are hosted by IPower www.ipowerweb.com Great customer service and great prices too.
6. Candelwic's CSP-1 is great for our soy votives and pillars.....great throw hot and cold.
7. Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I'll keep you posted on the progress of the store and will add lots of pics when we're open. :smiley2:
8. Actually both spellings are acceptable...as shown here: col·lect·i·ble also col·lect·a·ble (kə-lěk'tə-bəl) Pronunciation Key adj. That can be collected: a collectible loan. Worthy of being collected: collectible antique coins.n. One of a group or class of objects, such as period glass or historical memorabilia, sought by collectors. 9. Just got our store sign. Can't wait for the warm weather to put it up. Just one step closer to our store opening this fall.
10. This year we are once again offering our Breast Cancer Awareness candle. This one is in our 10 ounce Apo. jar and scented in Cashmere and Pearls.
11. Nanny....are you using wicks that have tabs???? By reading your initial post, it doesn't say whether you use tabbed wicks or straight off the roll. If you're using tabbed wicks then both Scentational and I use the same method.
12. We sell them in sets of 2, and offer discounts on a purchase of 3 sets or more. We package them in shrink wrap bags.
13. We use the EZ Wick centering tool. We double wick, and it saves us time..and money. We just completed one of several of our fundraisers with over 500 candles poured, and we saved alot of time in using EZ Wick. We are able to use it for all 3 of our container sizes we offer, so IMHO it's well worth the investment.
14. Try using a wick pin. rather than drilling a hole and having to use mold sealer. JMO
15. Thank you so much Farmer Jill!! I missed it too....they obviously don't have that item listed in the right area. I would never have thought to look in the mold section...it should be listed with wicks and such. Thanks again....and thank you to all who responded.
16. Can anyone direct me as to where I can buy more of these? We use these for our containers and they fit perfectly....just can't remember where we originally bought them. I'd be grateful to anyone who can point me in the right direction. TIA
17. I agree with Carrie....RRD34's have worked for us in the flower pot style. Although we don't sell them as part of our regular line, we have made some up for testing...and the 34's did the job.
18. All business here, but love to play trying new ideas. Most of the money is going into redoing the storefront we have....separate building on our property.....hoping to get everything done for a spring opening. Will post pictures when it's finished.
19. I would be cautious how hot the bowls get as they can crack from over heating.
20. We use the EZ Wick2 system from BCN. We can double wick our containers in no time with this...usually do 200-300 in an hour or less.
21. Sorry, but did you intend for the two links Hand-poured Soy Candles and Bath & Body Products to be linked to www.sexygraphics.com? as shown below <!-- WEEBLY_START_CONTENT --><div ><div id="646373694485654" align="center" style="width: 100%; overflow-y: hidden;"><BR><a href="http://www.sexigraphics.com" title="New Comment Code Layout Graphics" > <img src="http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/webztuff/Welcome/2c3ab12545534c6.gif" border="0"></a><br> <a style='padding:3px;background:#121212;color:#00FFFF;font-family:arial;font-size:11px;font-weight:bold;text-decoration:none;border:1px double #00FFFF' href="http://www.sexigraphics.com"></div> Not sure if this was intentional, but not something I'd be looking to see on a candle site?
22. We heat the bottom of the base over an open flame for about 3-5 seconds then use a craft hammer to tap the pin out. With a little practice you won't have any breakages.
23. Thanks everyone for your comments. :smiley2: This one is becoming a favourite among our customers.
