  1. Just found this thread and it is good to know. I have never ordered from WSP but was looking at some of their items. I will have to pay careful attention to the donation thing and as for the stopping FRB shipping.....how stupid is that!!! It's not like the boxes cost them anything. As for Just Scent, I ordered a ton of samples once when they were having a sale. Several people I know were ranting and raving at how wonderful the fragrances were and how wonderful Becky was. Well, over 50% of them were short in weight. When I e-mailed (i think it was) I was basically told that I was a liar. I even had several people at the house with me when I was weighing them. I had several fragrances from them that I DID like but over 90% of what I tried I was very unimpressed over. And since Becky told me I was a liar, I crossed her off my list and order elsewhere. There are so many suppliers out there that I refuse to be treated like that. Someone will always have what you want without the crap!! OH......the soap is beautiful!!!
  2. :laugh2::laugh2: I can't help you because I don't know if the "little plastic thingies" you are talking about are the same I would be talking about. But your response that google can't find it gave me a good laugh!!
  3. Thanks Dee. I will have to look and see what they have. I really don't have any soap molds so I need to look at those. On the colorants, what type seem to work best for soaps??
  4. I have never ordered from WSP. How are they?
  5. I have about 15 fragrances that I get from them and I am in Utah. Shipping has always seemed very reasonable to me and they are quick in getting their orders out.
  6. That's what I was thinking of trying. I figure that is an inexpensive way to label them while still allowing you to be creative.
  7. What an interesting concept. I have never heard of it before. Would you be willing to share your recipe Kitn? I would love to try that for the kids!!
  8. Now those are cool Dee. Kinda like the wrappers you put around money.
  9. I have never seen those before Dee. But if you know a place that sells them, let me know. I would be interested in trying those as well.
  10. They are under shrink wrap so I am thinking they are the plastic ones.
  11. I am not sure if you can print on them or not. Rae would know though cause she has used them.
  12. I may have to get me some while I am up there and try them. I am just starting soaps and have been wondering how to package them. And I hate MMS anyway, but since that is the best price for the SLSA co-op, I figure I might as well get some so I only have to deal with them once!!
  13. I did see some candles that were in the shells themselves, but that seems like way too much work!!
  14. Since I am going to MMS, I was wondering what people think of the Dan's Bands since they seem to be popular. What type of soap do you use them for and what size? Was thinking of maybe getting some to try. Thanks!!
  15. I use a flip top cap with all mine as well. I WILL spill if I don't. Plus, then are a lot cheaper than that oz of oil I will have all over my counter.
  16. How cute!! I can't see them all, mostly red x's but the ones I can see are fantastic. I would love it if you share how you made those popcicle looking ones and the sucker ones. My kids would so love those!!
  17. I don't do gel candles or use shotgun shells, but is seems that since the powder is what is explosive, you would be ok as long as the shell is thoroughly cleaned. I don't know for certain though just by semi-logical evaluation. Are you using them whole (closed) or are the cutting the shell open?
  18. Thanks Kristin!! I will have to look into them. I have wireless through Sprint so internet connection on the laptop is not a problem. Someone (I think) said it is cheaper than paypal. Do you know if that is true?? And if it is in Lehi, I will see if I can over next time I am in Highland visiting my mom.
  19. Ok, really stupid question here. What is propay? I have never heard of it before, however, if it increases sales ability, I would love to look into it more. Anyone have a site??
  20. That's a deal!! I hate to sew and when I do quilt, it is by hand. So this combines something I love to do (quilt) and totally dispise (sewing). But I think that posting what we make may inspire others to give it a shot. Trust me when I say, these kids could care less if the stitching is not straight or the pieces are off a little. The quilt is what the love; the giver is what they love; they could care less if it is perfect or not!!
  21. The children's hospital here in Salt Lake City gives quilts to the kids as well. When my 10 year old was 2 1/2 months old, he ended up in the hospital for a week with surgery for malrotation of the bowels and had his appendix removed. They gave him a quilt and once he was old enough to understand why and where he got it, he carried that thing around until it fell apart. When my 15 year old went in for a biopsy about 8 years ago, she also got one and still has it to this day. I am not sure what type of organization donates the quilts, but I can tell you that they make a HUGE difference in the kids up here. eta: I just went on their website and requested kits for myself and my daughter. She loves doing stuff like this and it will be a great project for us to do together.
  22. Oh Candybee, thank you so much!!! I just ordered a ton of M&P from the last co-op and then realized I had no idea what to do with any of it. I so appreciate your willingness to share these recipes and cannot wait to give them a try!! Quick question though, can you substitute another base for the white one?? :yay::yay:
  23. I paid $5.67 lb. After searching online and figuring shipping to me, it breaks out even for me.
  24. I also use the 415 and stopped coloring mine. Between HORRIBLE frosting and the wicks getting clogged, I gave up cause of the aggrevation. I would love to know your secrets (pretty please) and especially the wicks you are using. I think they are beautiful and I too was able to get really deep colors. I could just never get them to burn!! :laugh2:And then there was the frosting issue so advice would be welcomed here with open arms and intent listening.
