Kinda reminds me of last year when a gal I know came over just after I got done pouring Rose Bouqet and asked me where I got my scents from. Told her I had them shipped to me. She said she was wanting to start making candles. Lol, she hasn't been back since then, but I did send her home with a couple of votives. That I had tested. Also told her that I wasn't ready to sell yet cause I still have alot of testing to do. She did give me a dumbfounded look:confused: . Like geez don't you just melt the wax, scent it, color it, wick it and sell it. She knew I had been making candles for a couple of monthes. Tammy

I signed up DH stainglass business with our Chamber and he got listed in the Business Directory, we attend a Breakfast Business Circle once a month. We have a couple of pieces hanging in the office along with our brochures and business cards. Along with the Ribbon Cutting and after hours dinners. I also get to test burn one of my candles during the meetings lol.. Its alot of fun networking with the Chamber and other Business Tammy

Went thru and made four different list for supplies, Check for the forum, organize books, checked again and got taxes done (whewwww glas thats over) checked again, poured 2 Sage n Lemongrass pillars, Honey Garden pillar, 5 votives, a couple of tarts and keep on checking for the forum in between. Man i'm glad to see everyone and everything back. Missed everyone. Tamara

OK so I am really lost here I want to order some samples from here and I really do not know what to order. I have butters coming from the coop (thanks donna) and would like to make some lotion bars with them. With the comfort blend try the cotton wicks that is what I use. I am using the 9oz hex squat jars from BCS with the 4627 and a c-55 with all my FO's and using only 1oz per lb wax. OK had to confer with notes to make sure I was right..lol:rolleyes2 HTH Tamara

I use the comfort blend and just love it and so do my testers and a few others that have bought my containers. I tried using another container wax but no one here liked it so I went back to the comfort. It is messy to work with. I heat up to about 180 add FO and color, and pour at about 175 HTH Tamara

I will be doing a presentation at some point this year thru the Chamber office here in Leander,Texas. Also if you want me to add your website let me know. I added the websites I could find at the end of it. Some folks have asked me if I do Soy Candles and I have to tell them no I don't, but I know of someone who does. I reference my notes and give them a website to go to. Right off the top of my head can't remember whose website I gave. So I thought I would add everyones website to my presentation Sorry if you don't want it on there let me know. I am trying to help everyone out who has helped me. I don't claim to know everything cause you great folks on here have taught me everything I know and that is stated in my presentation. I am not trying to step on anyones toes. LOL Tallbabydoll that brought back a memory I put a lit candle on a bookshelf that had glass shelves in it :embarasse... you guessed it I broke it. got too hot with the candle and all the glass broke. what a mess to clean up. couldn't blame anyone or anything but myself and i do belive that thier is a 14"-15" clearance in between my shelfs. and that was 6 years ago. and yes I still have the cabinet with glass shelves. no candles on it tho. lol dragon it will be scheduled during a luncheon type deal. They come and listen for 20-30 min and then get to eat and run. I will be putting together the packet and talking with the fire marshall and our local fire department. and keeping in touch with the chamber to see when this will be so I can tell everyone.. in the mean time I will be doing some research and reading some of the articles that I have found. will print out some of them to include in the packet. I think I can include anything related to candles in the packet so Helpful burning tips will be done to SO when I get the packets done who wants to preview it for me. just to make sure I have all my papers in order lol..
