  1. If I remember correctly Soy candles will soot also. All candles will if not properly wicked. Do a search in the Archives and on the new boards you will find alot of information on it. And yes I do make parrafin candles and the only time I see black smoke is when I don't have the right wick inserted;). Don't be to hard on parrafin until you do some more reading. hth Tammy

  6. This is what I have and continue doing. Notebook within reaching area or by computer. Keep notes on every item you make, I have and continue to do so. And yes you need to test every type of candle (rustic, layer, etc.) they all need to be tested until you are 110% satisfied with them. And then I burn one for fun just to make sure I got it right. hth Tammy
  7. Wasn't doubting the candles was just curious so I looked them up; Off to check WSP to see what else they have along those lines. It was just a first for me to get a call about another Companys Candle line But I do however get asked if my candles are soy. I say no and give them a list of websites that do carry soy candles. And from lookin around the forum hmm it looks like I may need to add a few to my list. Thanks for the heads up Sandissoap Tammy

Never heard of Trapp brand, think I need to get out more lol. Med. Fig I have heard of but haven't poured or tested it. google is my friend though and this is what I found http://www.candlesoffmain.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=156

  12. Here is what I did for a Dental Office. The promotional Manager just so happens to be a good friend of mine, a Tester( She power burns every candle she gets) and one of my best customers. Once a year they give out goody baskets to some of the suppliers, She came to me and wanted 26 or 36 of my hex jars ( I only have the 7oz). I told her that I would give him 10% of the whole order. She told me ABSOLUTLY NOT. I was to charge him full price. I sold them last yr for $5.00 and this year they are $5.50. Was told that was still to cheap. Any how back to topic. Don't Discount them unless its not in the budget they have in mind. Great promotional tool to utilize. But since the office already knows that you sell them for $1.00 each , or I'm assuming they do, 2-1 says they have that set aside in the budget for the lip balm. . Go ahead and charge them $1.00 per tube. and Congrats on the oppertunity to get more customers.
  13. Thanks everyone. Still working on the labels. If they pass inspection here lol:grin2: I will post them and see if you folks like them. Off to do some more editing.:tiptoe:

  16. Since I don't post alot and after looking at everyones wonderful and creative products I thought to post some of mine. But warning that don't look as good as everyone elses:D . Labels are geting reworked as I am writing this. Went to my Daughters in June and took a few things with me by request. We lined up the shelf above one of the computer cubicles they have in thier office. When I came back home I was asked if I could leave them for them to sell. So I did. DH took the picts . I blame lighting and background for bad picts lol. :undecided Well shoot need to resize a few to post them. be back later with the shelf pic that shows most of the products lined up. so here is the lava lip gloss and solid lotion bars. I know they look bad. But they feel wonderful. Couldn't get it resized but here are some of the other products that are there and a gift basket I made for my sister that graduated LPN nursing this year. I'm so proud of her and yes its the same sister that is having surgery.
