They will misshapen and warp. -Do not pour melted wax on skin, it hurts and it will burn you. -Do make sure have fire extinguishers and fire alarms in your home and office and that they work properly. -Keep away from drafts, kids, and pets. -Keep away from all flammable objects. -Burn candles 2-3 hours at a time - To reduce the smoking of wicks when putting out the flames, get a piece of wire and very gently push the wick into the melted wax, and then very gently pull it back up into an upright position. -Discontinue use when only ½ in. of wax is left in the bottom of jar or votive holder Will prevent cracking or breaking of glass. Instead put votive holder into freezer for about 5-10 min. Wax should slide right out. -Do not place near heat source. -Do not freeze (candle will crack). (Since all these home tip books are telling people to freeze their candles to make them last longer.) -Never drop wick trimmings, matches or any foreign matter that could burn into the candle container. -Avoid burning candles in drafts. It causes the wick to burn faster and taller -External use only. -Do not attempt to heat your house with candles -The flame is extremely hot. Do not attempt to extinguish the flame with your tongue -Store candles in zip lock freezer bags to conserve their scent and keep dust off. -Before a dinner party, light your new candles before the guests arrive, then extinguish them. It will be easier to light them later when the guests arrive. - If you don't have a long match or lighter to reach a deep or high candle, light a piece of uncooked dried spaghetti and use it to light the candle.
